Honours even in six goal thriller!

Nothing could seperate Chelsea and Tottenham this evening in a fantastic match. Both teams managed to put the ball in the net thrice but neither got the better of the other. It was a fantastic game where neither team deserved to lose.

Chelsea manager Trevor Jackson completely changed his team for this match. He went out with a 4-2-1-2-1 formation with a completely different team. His psychological tactics didn't seem to get the better of Martin Jol however before the game as he kept a poker face. Jackson however was not afraid to show his emotions.

Chelsea got off to the better start, pressing forward without hesitation. Jackson's men were in no mood to sit back and relax, they were eager for goals. Ricardo Quaresma and Joe Cole linked up well together but were unable to convert it into anything early on.

Tottenham took the lead though in the seventh minute with a Kevin-Prince Boateng header from a corner. The corner came in and Boateng leaped up and headed the ball into the top corner, Petr Cech had no chance to stop it.

Tottenham made it two-nil immediately after the first goal with a fantastic Dimitar Berbatov finish, and to Trevor Jackson's dismay, he still didn't smile. He took a wonderfully weighted through ball and placed it in the top corner.

Chelsea hit back instantly as well though with Ricardo Quaresma. Tommaso Rocchi played the ball through and Quaresma sprinted at the speed of light and smashed the ball in the top corner.

Chelsea felt they should've levelled the game in the twentyth minute with Tommaso Rocchi but the linesman ruled the goal offside. Ricardo Quaresma crossed the ball into the the box at the back post and Rocchi tapped the ball into the goal. Jackson was absolutely furious with the referee, the linesman and the fourth official. He had a lot of strong words with the fourth official before being sent back to his seat.

Joe Cole was able to level the game though in the thirty first minute. His amazing strike from twenty-five yards out put the game at 2-2. He struck it with sheer venom and Trevor Jackson went ballistic.

Chelsea made all three changes at half time. Trevor Jackson brought on Ricardo Carvalho, John Obi Mikel and Didier Drogba, taking off Titus Bramble, Michael Essien and Tommaso Rocchi. Jackson was looking for his team to press forward more-so.

Jackson wanted his team to attack more, and they did that. They scored right from the kick off. After a string of passes, Frank Lampard ran onto a ball and hit a beauty into the top corner from thirty yards out. It was the start that Chelsea were just hoping for. An amazing comeback from Chelsea!

There was another twist in the tale however! Tottenham Hotspurs levelled the game in the seventyth minute with a Boateng beauty. The ball came straight to him and from an acute angle about twenty yards out, he hit the ball first time with his left foot and curled it into the back of the net.

After a thrilling ninety minutes, the referee blew the full time whistle and put an end to a classic match. Neither team deserved to lose that game and neither team did. A point each did justice to the game.

2-0 down to 3-2 up was a great comeback by Chelsea but the draw was the right result. A thrilling match which was brilliantly wrote up by you Mani, best update you've done in quite a while. Very easy to read and good vocabulary.

Keep this standard up. :)

Thanks :). I didn't update on every chance, just the goals and main chances. Looks like it was better that way lol. Updating now with interviews.

Dr. Pepper added 15 Minutes and 28 Seconds later...

Jol happy with team performance

Jol.jpg

Jol happy despite drawing from 2-0 up.

Martin Jol has stated that he was very happy with his team's performance despite crackling under pressure and wasting their chance of being 2-0 up. Tottenham Hotspurs managed 2 early goals against Chelsea but only managed to take 1 point away from the game in a 3-3 draw. Jol said that the team performance was what mattered.

Martin Jol said this; "Our team's performance was fantastic. We played well. We played very, very well. We managed to score 3 goals against the title holders. In my opinion that is a win in itself. What else do you want? We gave it our best shot and got 1 point away from the game.

1 point against the defending champions is not bad. It's very good actually. Tactically we played very well. Our players had a great mentality. We were pressing forward, we were attacking and we were scoring to back that up. 3 goals is fantastic.

We attacked very well. Kevin [Prince Boateng] won Man of The Match. He scored two goals from the centre of midfield. What more can you ask from a player? Our player won the Man of The Match, we were obviously the better team.

We were very unlucky. We managed to go 2-0 up against the champions. My team played exceptionally well. My team were unfortunate to be hit on the attack when we were just warming up in the second half. We played well though, you can't deny that.

When you're team plays this well and you manage to score 3 goals and get a point against the defending champions, as a manager, there's not much more you can ask for. We were the better side and deserved all 3 points but I'll settle with the point."

When asked about Chelsea's dis-allowed goal, he responded "I did not see the incident but I will back the referee up on this one. I will not back the opposing team." After receiving a few chuckles and smirks from the reporters, Martin Jol ended the press conference.

Boateng was very good and deserved the praise from Martin. He was very honest all the way through and gave a good interview. Agreed with alot of what he said.

Great stuff here Mani, nice to see the standard staying as high as previous updates. Reading this story and enjoying it.

Amazing match against Spurs. Totally agree with you that neither side should of lost.

Jackson blames dis-allowed goal

Trevor Jackson has hit out at the referee and the linesman for not giving a goal that he clearly thought should've been allowed. Chelsea and Tottenham drew the game in a 3-3 thriller at White Hart Lane but Tommaso Rocchi scored a goal which would've won the game but was dis-allowed because it was offside. However later video clips show that he was not offside and the goal should've stood.

Jackson said this; "The referee was appaulling. How many decisions did he get wrong there? He lost us the match. Pathetic refereeing. A 6 year old could've done better.

The referee should've just put on a Tottenham shirt that said "I hate Chelsea" on the back. I haven't been a professional manager for a long time but I've already picked up a lot of things. One of them things are that referees hate Chelsea. They have a random vendetta against them. It's f***ing pathetic.

It was Chelsea 3, Tottenham and the referee 3. Watch the video. I'm not wrong. I'm clearly f***ing right. It wasn't offside. He should've gone to f***ing specsavers! Really was atrocious."

When Trevor Jackson was asked about how he felt about Martin Jol's comments, he said "Of course he'd say that. We are great. We are the best team in the league. We're the best team in the f***ing country. Best team in the world. We've shown that.

He would've been happy if he lost 6-0 because his team are f***ing s***. They're happy if they finish 20th in the table with 0 points. Zero, zilch, nothing. They're a useless team who are absolute c***.

They were unlucky? B*******! We should've won that game! We would've won had it not been for a thick referee who clearly didn't watch the game! What game was Jol watching? We would've won that game if it wasn't for a c*** referee."

Yes, Trevor, yes. Theres a mental institution around the corner from Stamford Bridge you know... ;)

Good update mate, looking forward to the next update.

Jackson ready to smash Rangers

Trevor Jackson has stated his serious will to smash Rangers in their Champions League Group A match. The two will meet at the Stamford Bridge tonight. Jackson will be managing his first Champions League match.

Jackson said this; "We are ready to destroy Rangers. Pummel them to the ground. Annihilate them. It will be a Glasgow Football Masacre. They will be absolutely demolished by our team. We are ready to make them crash and burn. Burn until they turn into ashes.

Once they've turned into ashes, we'll feed the ashes to my dogs. Then we'll burn their c***! Once their c*** has been burned, we'll p*** all over it and then feed it to their fans! Yeah it will be f***ing brutal. You just better watch your back as well.

Walter Smith is an idiot. A god damn f***ing idiot! He is f***ing useless. What has he done for Rangers? Other than send them into turmoil? He has brought shame to Rangers and Scotland. He is a disgrace to the world. He is a pathetic idiot."

When asked "Jean-Claude Darcheville is injured for this match, how will that help your team's chances?" Trevor Jackson, simply, replied "Who the f*** is he?"

Rangers away could be hard, you never know. Darcheville being injured will help your cause and you should be able to beat them easily, hopefully.

Good writing mate, just remember to tone it down a bit. ;)

Lol "Darcheville???? Who the f**k is he???" Genious :p

Chelsea dominate against nine man Rangers

Chelsea comfortably beat Rangers 1-0 at Stamford bridge earlier tonight with an early goal from Tommaso Rocchi. Rocchi's goal was the only goal of the match but Chelsea should've won by a bigger win margain. Rangers were also blown by 2 red cards, Carlos Cuellar and Kevin Thompson both saw red.

Chelsea made even more changes to their tactics tonight with Trevor Jackson fielding a 3-1-1-2-3 formation. A formation that is rarely seen by Premiership teams. Jackson had played Rocchi, Owen and Drogba up front though so attack was on the mind.

It only took a minute to take the lead. A throw in from the right hand side with Frank Lampard went to Ricardo Quaresma. Quaresma crossed the ball in along the ground to Tommaso Rocchi who pummelled the ball in the back of the net.

Rocchi almost made it 2-0 in the 13th minute with a great chance. After some fantastic passing play, Frank Lampard played a ball through to Rocchi to run onto. Rocchi shot first time but was well saved.

Another fantastic chance fell to Tommaso Rocchi when Didier Drogba's powered shot was only parried to one side. Rocchi came running in and from an acute angle could only hit the post.

After an all Chelsea half, the referee, Guido Wildhaber, blew the whistle and the players went back to their respective changing rooms. Chelsea were definitely the happier side as they completely dominated Rangers in the first half.

In the fifty seventh minute, Kevin Thompson fouled Michael Owen from behind. Thompson had already been booked and the referee had no choice but to show him red.

Shockingly, in the 62nd minute John Terry passed the ball on to Ashley Cole. However, Terry was then elbowed in the chest by Carlos Cuellar and Cuellar was given a straight red for violent conduct.

Straight after, Chelsea thought they'd took advantage of the numbers when Florent Malouda crossed the ball into the box for Joe Cole to head into the back of the net. The referee had other ideas and did not allow the goal because Joe Cole had fouled the defender.

The referee finally blew the whistle for full time and Chelsea deservedly won the game. Trevor Jackson would've defintely preferred a bigger win margain as Chelsea dominated the whole game. The 2 sending offs didn't play as big of a role in the match as you'd have thought, Chelsea were already all over Rangers anyway and they just added salt to the wounds. A comfortable win for Jackson's men.

I guess we did the job, yet against Rangers with two more men on the field, we should of won by at least 2 or 3 nil.
