rookies in the squad, with just a few regulars ???

And 4 in the last game. Vass is going just fine, hes the pick of the bowlers. I remember last time SL were here, they were in very poor form and everyone wrote them off. In the first game they beat the Aussies so anything is possible with them. Murali is going to be hard to play as always and the SCG (if Aus play them there) will favor SL.

Aus without McGrath leading the attack really fall apart. Especially if they try guys like Johnson who is yet to prove himself. Clark is starting to get use to the international level and Dorey is another Clark/McGrath.

McGrath is in the VB series squad Anyway I agree Sri Lanka will be the dark horse and I have a feeling they will do quite well if the likes of Murali, Vass, Attapattu and Jayawardene fire. Considering Vass and Murali are in the top 10 in bowling they have a decent bowling attack. I will still back SA and Aus final though.

And yes the Aussies will play the Sri Lankans at the SCG which i will be going

I'd really love to go to the MCG on Friday,but unfortunately i have to get ready for our Holiday.I'd just love to see the New 'G'! Look,i think it will be a competitive series,and i'd dearly love to see a 'REAL' fight to get to the finals.In the past it has just been Australia,and the team who played second worst. I really hope Murali fires,show all those fools who love having a go at him just because statistically he's better than Warne.

Latest showdown between them in Zimbabwe went in favour for the Kiwis.

First match is on Friday. I am hoping that Australia will bat first, otherwhile the match will be very short.

Australia wins the 20-20 match quite easily and same is going to be happen on friday. may be in all series we will see that.

I disagree strongly. Our ODI team is far superior.

But anyway, it looks like its going to be a good series. Hopefully some good games. Vaas bowled pretty well here in NZ. Murili wasn't overly destructive however. Sangakara is in good form but has failed in the fiftys a few times lately without going on to make a big score.

The Australian players (or the ones who played last night) are looking pretty good. The South Africans will I am sure be boosted with their bowlers back. The batsmen looked a little shaky though.

it would be great if the Lankans got into the final because it would boost them above england in the ICC rankings.

Damn I am annoyed.

We played smart in the 20/20 last night, we could attacking cricket and only lost 3 wickets, now why can't we do the exact same in a 50 over match? If we took the exact same apporach from last night into fridays match we could possibly make 400 or so.

The game is at the Telstra Dome on Friday I think many people are getting mixed up because all the games now are at the Telstra Dome this summer. I agree about Murali, I think he will fire and will be determined to prove he still has the goods. Also to shut all the fools mouth's that he is no where as good as warne and that he chucks. The main reasons why many supporters have a go at him is because they realise that he is better than Warne statistically and are too arrogant to admit it.
