I think we'll make 187.. And SL to chase it down by the 42nd over :)

No way, not with Mr Cricket in our team. Plus the fact we have 46 runs on the board already. What happened to your faith in the Aussies?

with an outfield this quick and our bowling attack we need to somehow get 270+ if we want any chance to win.

there goes all my vcash.

I would rather not see them at all :upray

Fine by me, so you are thinking Ponting has said to Symonds "Stay here to the end" and Symonds saying ditto ;)

I actually think Bracken could have been very useful early on given the amount of movement Vass got. It could really have been his coming of age.

He better get use to facing Murali and co because if he wants to be a test batter he has to be able to keep out Murali and co.

Not just keep them out, play his natural game towards them with confidence, then he will become a quality bat in the test game. Obviously this is easier said than done, but it's what he will need to aim towards. Anyway, Australia are recovering with confidence here, good effort to re-build the middle-order.

Listening to Tony Greig makes me wan't to smash my TV :mad

He is blatantly anti-Australian, When Ponting was almost caught he was saying things like "Oh I think thats got to be out" "It's clearly caught" even when the ball obviously bounced infront of the fielder's fingers :mad

Even Ritchie saw it wasn't out!

You can't really blame Tony Greig despite him being extremely biased, he's been brought up to hate them, and has done so throughout his own playing career. However, that definitely didn't look out, but I thought Ricky Ponting might have stuck to his word about trusting the fieldsman.

Yeah, fair enough. It still puzzles me why he is commentating for Australian TV when all he does is give extremely biased commentry.

It will be interesting to see if in the analysis of that event whether Sri Lanka are met with the same degree of hostility that Australia would have been met with had the shoe been on the other foot. I think the double standards will yet again prevail and it will be glossed over.

It will also be interesting to see what will be made of Attapattu and others questioning the umpire after they had said not out, to me they had to be asking why it wasn't given, something Brett Lee was chastised for. Again, I reckon nothing.

yeh Greig annoys me...Lawry has been annoying me lately as well.

i dont think Tony Greig has decided whether he's a South African or a Pom...if he has any class, i think he'd choose his native SA.

Ponting never made any sweeping statement about taking the word of the fieldsman. He has said that if an agreement between captains was made to accept the word of the fielder he would abide by it, to my knowledge he's been rejected by most captains and such an arrangement was not in place during the VB series (if it is than poor form on Ricky's part).

Greig definitely was annoying after that Ponting non catch. But its good to have one anti Aussie in the box. What happned to Slater?

at least Greig isnt as bad as Ian Healy!!!!!

jeez he is awful....
can any of the english users tell me the background behind Mark Nicholas?
because i think he is streaks ahead of the rest...other than Richie.
