Bracken deserves some credit, the swing he is getting is causing these mishits that are getting the wickets. It would be better if we were seeing nicks to the keeper but this is ODI cricket and you get wickets any way possible. Lets see how Bracken goes in the test arena.

Today is a massive test for this inexperienced Australian attack. If they can restrict a team that has chosen to bat first on a very good surface to around 250 it will be an excellent effort. Hopefully the fielders can do a little better, it would be 4 down now if Katich had held a relatively simple chance and Lewis was fielding in the correct position.

From this position I would say Australia is favourite to win this match. Sri Lanka needs a lot of more runs from Sangakkara.

The partnership looked very steady until the Pup came in and broke it. That was a good delivery to get rid of Sangakkara. He could have had Arnold too if the fielding was in the right position. Good to see Pup bowling again.

Good stuff from the Aussies thus far, if they can keep it around 260 with such an inexperienced bowling lineup, on an excellent batting surface it will be an excellent effort. But the death bowling will have to have alot more discipline to it if the Sri Lanka are to be restricted to that.
