I love classic cricket when there are rain interuptions, to bad that in New Zealand Sky just chucks some random car show on.

BBC would often show a classic one day final or other cricket, C4 would show donkey racing or slot in a film soonest opportunity. The problem with showing a different sport or a non-sport programme is keeping those switching on to view informed.



I don't know if rain reducing the prospects of a result is good or bad for England. We have a good record at Edgbaston and 2-0 would be a great position with two to play. But if this match is a draw then 1-0 up with two to play leaves us wide open to the aussies getting better as the series goes on. Surely they won't continue to be that ordinary bowling or be bowled out cheaply as they were at Lords.

Its mentioned by the commentators all the time. The Aussie grounds have excellent drainage systems. its the reason why we are able to get play underway so fast compared to your local club matches.
