Our win at Lords was our one good performance of the series out of the way. It's all downhill now i'm afraid. I said 3-1 at the start of the series and i'm sticking with it.

Hmm, it's more likely this'll be a draw, then England'll go 2-0. They're just flat after a win, next test they'll be fine again. I reckon England'll take the Ashes.

Frustrating day, I got there at about 10.30 and obviously play didn't start until 5.00. It rained just as I got in after starting bright and sunny and was on and off all morning. It didn't rain after 2.00 but the umpires still weren't happy, they got booed by the crowd. Finally it started and most of the crowd were drunk, a couple in my stand got thrown out.

Onto the field, Australia rattled on and that little session passed England by. Watson, although rubbish, played a good innings. Two wickets early tomorrow and it is even again though.

A good comeback by Watson,normally he comes at 6th-7th position,opening that too at comeback,with Eng bowlers having more confidence after winning last match,i guess Watson played well,he is a good All rounder,lets see how Aus play on Day 2,they will be desperate to get plenty to runs and at good pace..

I don't see why Hooper is hating on Watson...he's scoring runs for you something Hughes wasn't doing, whats the problem?...okay maybe the fact that he's probably broken his back whilst getting into bed or something but still...

Watson tends to raise our hopes and then gets mysteriously injured. Wouldn't surprise me if he breaks down during this test. I don't see any problems with Manou. Haddin was injured. He's next in line. I think the key really is Johnson for a bowling. We have to get 400ish and somehow roll England with small scores. He's the only bowler there who can get 5 wickets with 2 runs conceeded. No Clark. Where the bloody hell are you? Stupid selectors.
