Top End Series

He was consistent in Pura, but missed chances to make hundreds. Feels like he's back up to form that made him awesome though.

Hardly was Hussey consistent in Pura. He averaged about 25 for the season. Would have liked to have seen him play the OD's.

Only problem is, Hussey is inconsistent, and a bit stupid. If he worked on that, I reakon he wouldnt be far off wearing the Aussie colours.

A bloke that was consistent just smashed India A for 199 in One day! Of course this is Mr Jaques, what a brillant knock. Hes finally back to the form we saw in Pura and in England. Cosgrove out cheaply though which is disappointing but Birt continued his form showing we have quite a bit of depth in the batting now.

Jeez, thats a lot of runs for one day. Aussies are in a very strong position.

And they still are, Australia are are going along at 4 per over. 2/399. Jaques 218, and Birt finally getting some runs, he is on 99.

Check out this for a thumping

Ryder has talent, but more often than not he plays a stupid shot and gets himself out. That is damn impressive though.

Look at these for bowling figures:

Dhiman 1.2 0 40 0 (3nb)

lol, poor fellow.

And unfortonatly our other side's one day match was cancelled due to rain. Theres 1 more to play tomorrow I think so long as the field improves. These matches were scheduled after the first few days of the 4 day match were also cancelled due to weather.

Now that is a thrashing. Too bad NZ didn't bat first they could have got 500 the way they were going. They seem to have a few guys that can score fast in Ryder and Taylor.

He averaged over 30 (I believe you are thinking of 04-05). 5 half centuries is consistently getting a useful score. If he was consistently getting massive hundreds, I wouldn't use the word 'consistent.'

At his best, he is probably the most damaging uncapped batsman in Australia. If he toned down this gameplan, he would lose what makes him different to most other batsmen and there are plenty more conventional players standing around waiting for a game.

good to see Watson and Johnson do some damage with the ball. Watson may play a part in this summer's ashes series after all.

The Aussies are totally dominating India A. A few of their players are finally hitting their straps.

Ryder is pretty hit and miss really. He is about 20 I think, so still very young. I hope they can develop him. Taylor is a better prospect for the present. I like him. Our batting resources have never been better. Now we just need some back-up bowlers.

This top end series has pretty much put Watson as the front runner for the number 6 spot. Good to see Johnson continue his good form, hes finally living up to the hype and Tait at long last has a wicket and grabbed another one for good measure.

He's simply hasn't preformed, and Watson looks better than Symonds despite no 50 at the highest level yet.

well it will be interesting who to see who the selectors go with in the first test, it will depend on how Watson does in the remainder of this tournament and how they both go in the Champions Trophy. Good to see Birt in the runs, i first saw him in an ING game in St.Kilda 2 seasons ago and thought he was a damn fine prospect.

The two speed demons cleaned up the tail. India A all out for 254, 2nd dig India A going much better on 91 without loss.
