Aye that's what Jack said when he saw my commentary on MSN. :p

Akhtar was fantastic at the end to keep his nerve, you're right. His bowl to get Mohammed out though was the bowl of the match. In swinging Yorker that ended up knocking the middle stump out of the ground and propelled it into the air. Beautiful.

Reaction
Well this brilliant series comes to an end, and we take home a 3-1 victory.

It was a tale of two innings, in which we showed both our good side and bad side. Batting wise we were excellent. We built up an innings, and smashed it around in the last 10 overs. Afridi and Misbah contributed to 96 off the last 10 overs to set up a big target for the Windies to chase.

E-akbar and Arafat struggled up top, but we took regular wickets. Razzaq took some stick, but was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets from the middle order. Kaneria cleaned up the tail, but we allowed their number 10 to smash 44 before the end.

A win, but not a convincing one. South Africa will be a much sterner test...

Reaction
Loss the toss and got put into ball on a slight batting pitch. Gayle didn't last too long before going to Arafat and Lara and Chanderpaul could only get in the 10's as well. West Indies had a poor start and were 92/3. Their opener Ganga soon went after for a respectable 44, only 6 short of his half century. West Indies couldn't get any substancial partnerships in the closing stages with only Sarwan(53) and Baugh(21) being the players to get past 12. In the entire batting lineup only 3 players scored more than 19. Akhtar was the worst bowler by a mile - he was disastrous. He got 0-70 whilst our other opener was fantastic as Arafat got 2-32. Malik did well on his debut to get 1-33 but our spinners were instrumental again as Kaneria got 3-32 and Afridi 2-38. We required 203 to win.

We started terribly, with Younis Khan going for a two ball duck. Not the way you want to start your innings. A great second wicket partnership of 88 between Tariq and Inzi then came as we took control in the match thanks to Inzi's fantastic 52 off 50. Tariq and Yousuf then put on 50 runs together before it was Tariq's turn to walk back to the pavilion. He has been a revalation in his first tour, averaging 70 in Tests and 59 in ODIs. Yousuf and Nisar then managed 42 together before Nisar fell for an average 28. I still can't figure out his best format. Afridi and Yousuf then brought us home although I had to feel sorry for Yousuf, ending up on 47* off 93 balls. Afridi helped as normal, with his 12* off 7 balls fast tracking us to victory. 4-0 in the series, thankyou very much.

Afridi's playing like an absoloute gun! I think jaz takes that one again? How are you scoring this?

Check the first post ;) At the bottom we update the score for each tour.

Jaz took that one 2-1 again. We are scoring it as 1 point per game win, and when both of us get the same result there are no points added.

Good update their mates and Afridi is giving an all-round perfomance. KUTGW Trev and Jaz

We loss the toss and got put into bat on a neutral pitch. Our innings started poorly as Khan went for 16 off 16 but then we seemed to steady ourselves with a 110 run partnership which only ended when Tariq fell just short of his first 50 of the tour, for 43. Yousuf(4) and Alam(6) came and went whilst Inzi was battling on, scoring runs and scoring them quickly. Inzi was the next man to go unfortunately for a mesmerising 95 off 126 balls. That left us 169/5 and not looking too good, but better than it would of done if he didn't perform. Afridi, Akmal and Akhtar all failed with the bat, leaving us 187/8. We then went from that score to 282 all out. Nazir was fantastic with the bat, managing 34 off 92 and Asif was also brilliant with the bat(13*) but the main tailender was Danish Kaneria. His 47 off 76 helped get us to our total and got him the second highest scorer off the innings! Kudos.

It was their turn to bat and they started well, being 138/2 at one stage. Petersen(67), Motaung(27) and Ontong(28) all batted well with eachother but two of them couldn't convert their starts. McKenzie came in and batted with the lower order. Despite scoring 47 himself, the lower order couldn't take control of the situation with the remaining 7 batsmen all getting out for less than 10 runs. Kaneria was our best bowler by far with 4-42 but Akhtar and Afridi helped with their two wickets. Asif picked up 1 himself but the only person not to pick up a wicket was Nazir, but he still bowled well getting 0-23 off 13 overs at only 1.92 an over.

We had a 78 run lead but needed to bat quickly. Tariq(20) and Khan(10) both stayed around for a small amount of time leaving us on 73/2. Once again our top order prevailed when our openers could not. Inzi managed to somehow get 58 off his 68 balls whilst Yousuf got 62 off 110. The most amazing innings was the top scorers, Alam, as after getting 6 in the first innings he got 64 runs off 60 balls! I then decided to try and bat fast to get a high run lead but Yousuf and Afridi both fell quickly so I decided to call it quits on 228/6. This gave us a 306 run lead, which with just over 2 and a half sessions left, should be enough to at least get a draw.

They started their chase with a great opening partnership of 53, but then both of the openers fell quickly after eachother, leaving them on 57/2. Ontong and McKenzie couldn't manage to get more than 10 runs, meaning they only had 91/4. We were in complete control! 2 partnerships later and they were 162/6, more back in the game but they had lost too many wickets. Harris seemed to of been the last resistance with his 53 off 66 balls. We then skittled out their tail with Makalima being the only difficulty, as he managed 24. Nazir was a tad more expensive but got a wicket whilst Akhtar was the bowler to bowl economically but not get a wicket. Asif managed to get 2-32 but it was the spinners again who impressed the most. Kaneria with 3-54 and Afridi with 4-50 just proves where our best bowling lies. They won us the game and thankfully gives us a good start to the tour. May this continue in the tour I absolutely hate.

Rain is our enemy once again, as we lose out on vital practice for the upcoming test series.

Afridi was excellent with the ball, and most of the batsmen played well. If day 2 hadn't been washed out like it was, we may still have ahd a chance at victory. A tough decision on selection for the 1st Test.

We won the toss and elected to field on a batting track. The innings started well as Smith lasted only 12 minutes, getting removed by Akhtar for 2 runs. A 69er then came in the second innings as Kallis and Gibbs contemplated eachothers batting, until Gibbs got caught off Kaneria's bowling for 30. De Villiers(0) came and went before Kallis and Puttick put on their biggest partnership of the innings, 93. Kallis was high flying now and it was Puttick to go, just short of his 50, managing 44. Kallis and Amla then put on 72 together to get the score to 239/4 before their main man Kallis, finally got out. Asif's only wicket was that of Kallis but it was worth it as the big man fell for 125. Amla(82*) and Duminy(39) then batted together and with the tail to put on 385. A great score but being at 299/5 at one stage, might of been less than they wanted. Afridi and Kaneria were our best bowlers as normal, Afridi edging it this time with 4-69 to Kaneria's 3-81. All the other bowlers got one wicket each and none of them were any good to be honest. Saying that, Akhtar's only wicket was Smith which gave us the start, Asif's only wicket was Kallis which got us back into the game and Nazir's only wicket was Duminy for 39 when he looked most dangerous. A team effort.

Tariq and Khan have been the best partnership around in my opinion and they backed that up by putting on 106 for the first wicket. It only ended when Nel bowled Khan for 54 but it was a great opening partnership. Inzi came and went for 21 but Yousuf soon came in... and lasted less than a minute as he got a golden duck. Alam(18) and Afridi(14) both came and went without adding much to the score. This left us on 226/5 and behind the pace for definite. In came Akmal who I was reluctlant to include as he wasn't any good last time he played for us. Remarkably, Tariq and Akmal put on 131 together to get our score up to 357 and in control. Tariq finally got out to Kallis, his only wicket, for 163. A brilliant innings by the 23 year old who's turning out to be a revelation. Akmal then batted with the tail and despite being 380/9, we ended up with 420. Asif and Akmal put on 40 for the last wicket before Asif fell for 15. Akmal capped a great performance with 90*. A lead of 35 is better than nothing I guess.

It was their chance to bat again and a good opening partnership of 51 saw them looking confident. Gibbs(37) got out which flicked off a little collapse as Kallis(1) and Smith(22) quickly followed. At least Kallis won't be scoring high again this time. De Villiers and Puttick then got them back into the match by putting on 74 together before De Villiers, who got a duck in the first innings, fell 4 runs short of his half century. Puttick and Amla then got South Africa in control as they put on 125 and took their score to 269/4! Eventually Nazir came in and got Puttick out for 107 but it was a great innings by their consistent number 5. Amla went in Nazir's next over for a good score of 55 before Duminy(31) and Pollock(28) followed the same trend and both got out to Nazir. Joubert and Nel put on a little resistance but that didn't last long as we bowled them out for 388; 3 more runs than their first innings. That innings went well for us mainly because of a certain Shahid Nazir, as after a poor first innings, made up for it with a magical 7-116! 6 of his wickets were batsmen which shows how well he really bowled. Kaneria picked up 2 wickets this time and Afridi one as Asif and Akhtar fail to impress again. That left us to get 354 in just over two sessions.

The best partnership in a long time came as our openers decided to bat tremendously together. In the first innings Khan made 50 and Tariq made 100 but it was Khan to get his century first. After a remarkable 252 opening partnership, quick as well, Khan was run out. 122 runs off 88 balls was his score as he just took it to the bowlers. We were in complete control and only required 102 runs with 9 wickets in hands. It looked easy. Inzi(9) decided not to stay along for long as he was soon gone. Tariq and Yousuf then put on 68 together before, my man of the match, Usman Tariq got bowled for 176. Only 11 short of his high score, it marked his second century of the match. He's only played 4 test matches and has 3 centuries and 2 half centuries. He's our best in form batsman at the moment. Yousuf(33*) and Alam(6*) took us home easily to record a 7 wicket win but it was the opening partnership that really won it for us, as Khan and Tariq proved why they are the best openeing partnership in the World.

I am supporting Jack due to the fact that he has got me out of trouble recently and he is owed my support. I'll go and cripple Jaz's team :p
