Out goes Dhoni, in comes Ambati Raydu. Dhoni deserved a break because he has been playing every freaking sereis.

At some point of time, something had to happen to Dhoni considering the amount of cricket he plays. But I'm happy with the replacement choice. Able guy! Sad for Pujara, but I am sure he will get his chance. This choice is dictated by the fact that Rayudu can also take up the gloves.

Karthik did look a bit scrappy, but probably was just rusty a tad. He is the best guy in Dhoni's abscence however been clamouring for his selection a while now, so good choice. Rayadu is the best choice also, thank god they dont chose Pujara, he wouldve failed miserably!

Very bad news that MS Dhoni is out of the series,i doubt if Virat can handle it.Will miss the second best finisher in ODIs as far as i have seen in ODIs after Micheal Beaven from Australia.

Its a big blow for the entire Caribbean region, surely they would have want to see the Indian captain play in all of the games, Kohli is more than capable of leading the team.

Doubt full whether Virat could handle the pressure of being captain but with the experience as RCB captain he should be good . Would be good if he would receive suggestions from the victorious MI captain Rohit Sharma . Good to hear that MI boy Rayudu will join the team. He is a very capable player so good in handling the pressure. His talent was really shown of in the previous Irani trophy .

Surprisingly, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar has been excluded and Shami Ahmed selected. Wonder what the reason is! Is Bhuvaneshwar injured or what? Someone saying on Cricinfo that the pitch will suit Shami more, but in India, we are not known to pick/drop players based on which pitch suits which bowler more. And Bhuvi has been very good so far in his stay with the team.

That is one advantage of having an aggressive captain. Virat Kohli has instantly dropped Bhuvi because he has seen that there is not much movement for him. So he has gone for an all aggressive bowling attack with Shami Ahmed coming in who is quicker than Bhuvi and can shape the ball away from the right handers. If you have noticed, Vinay Kumar was alredy in the squad but they rather went with Shami who came as an injury replacement of Pathan. So Kohli clearly howing that he wants to go with pace and aggression.

My concern is where will Murli Vijay bat? Are they going to disturb the opening combination or will he bat in the middle order?

Harsh initiation for Kohli into captaincy. Losing to Sri Lanka like this when India have been whipping them with incredible consistency, is such a tough thing. Bowling was horrible to say the least, probably the guys are too tired after the Champions trophy triumph. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar might not get swing at times, but he is a tight bowler and brings stability to the bowling. Yadav is leaking runs too much in ODI's. Even in the Champions trophy, Yadav gave away more runs.

The Indian batting which flowed in England, seems stuck here. Its very evident that the guys are tired and are just not into it.

Wow!! What a game! Congrats Sri Lanka on a mauling of the Indians, love you Tharanga, Jayawardene, Heerath and the entire SL eleven which took the field today.

Tiredness of the Indians are not to blame, they've performed badly in every sphere of the game today. Had MSD been there things may have been different but we cant blame Kohli, all the players played badly excpting for Shammi, tough initiation game for him to the Caribbean, he bowled well, think after 6 overs he had an econ rate 3.3, with the SL batsmen running it red obviously his last overs went for some runs, but he is the only shining spot in this heavy loss the Indians have suffered.

Been partying hard since the 38th over of the SLankan batting inns guys and tell you what I am gonna keep on partying hard!

What a day! What a game! Join me guys in celebration of the Indian defeat, drinks are on me!

Great atmosphere in Sabina Park, wish I was there for the games.
