Tri-series in West Indies - June/July 2013

^^Thought it may be Raina, but after the on-field fight between Raina and Jadeja during the game against the WI I am thinking otheriwse.

You know of the spat they had on the field I am sure, well just to share it with the rest of Planet Cricket:

This is what Jadeja had to say to Raina:

Because you've lost the captaincy, you've also lost interest in fielding

You lost captaincy, now fielding interest too: Jadeja to Raina - Indian Express

Disunity in the Indian house!

If you start believing everything that the media (esp. the Indian media) says, you will eventually start tearing your hair apart.

Regarding that Jadeja and Raina spat, I wonder what kind of an influence Kohli has in such incidents occuring. For RCB, Kohli had that spat with his India teammate Gambhir, and now Jadeja and Raina (India mates and playing in India colors) have a spat with each other. This never happened under Dhoni. Wonder whether its just a co-incidence that its happening under Kohli's captaincy.

I am confident Raina must be the vice captain now, with Kohli being captain.

LOL! The statement that it never happened under Dhoni's captaincy but under Kohli's is meaningless! :lol
Proves nothing!

The reason behind it was captaincy. So it had to come when Dhoni wasn't the skipper because when Dhoni would be in, he would be leading.

^So you think Raina dropped the catch beacuse he lost his captaincy? That is so ignorant.:facepalm!

Kohli was named the vice-captain quite some time ago now, while Raina, has much more of work to do rather than think about his lost captaincy! Such a shame the media reports anything , and who reads Indian Express btw!:lol

The spat was over at the same time, not sure why is it being stretched too far? BCCI has demanded a report, so it'll be clear in some time. Team mates can argue, verbally abuse each other, not an  moment in any way!

A group game for a rather pointless tri-nation tournament has a reserve day setup, but a final to an international tournament involving the top 8 teams of the game doesn't... I'm done.

Also to add, the game wouldn't restart, but continue from where it had ended!

I don't really think ICC will make such a blunder in the future :noway

I never said that Raina dropped catches because he lost captaincy. Neither did the media did - they just reported what exactly happened on the field.

It's just that it happened when Virat got to lead the team and Jadeja said that straight on Raina's face in the heat of the moment.

Kohli is younger than both of them I think so maybe they wont give him the respect as they did with Dhoni, so they decided MSD is not there so they can fight on the field!

So what youre saying is that the youtube video is fake? I didnt watch the match but most of the people I know who followed it saw the fight on the field, am I not to believe those guys also?

NO ONE POSTED ON THIS THREAD INSINUATING IN ANYWAY THAT RAINA DROPPED THE CATCHES ON PURPOSE!!!!!!!

Stetching it to far? Youve gotta be kidding me! Raina pulled Jadeja's collar, it was physical. As far as I am concerned the on field umpires and match referee should make a case against both players and discipline them!

Apparently Celekon is using this series as a business strategy, as most sponsors do. The amount of Indians in the stands at these games is unbelievable and unbearable at the same time.

Oh I'm so sorry. You should have been more specific. :)

Pulled the Collar?Yes. Simply because Jadeja was running away, and wasn't in a mood at all to listen to Raina. So he simply stopped in that way! There are times when people can't agree on the same thing, and that was just the shortest of moment, because it was certainly solved when both the players were returning back to the dressing room. The discussion shouldn't have gone this far, but thanks to you :clap

You don't need to shout! Go and discuss with yourself now
Thank you!

If someone pulls my collar I would slap him, like Harbajan/Sreesanth spat!

Are you sure this matter has been solved? Certainly it stems from some previous disagreement between the players.

Its a healthy discussion since this is surely gonna affect Team India as a whole in the future and the immediate effects would be realized as early as tomorrow when they play Sri Lanka.

This is Jadeja's attack on Raina, no member posted in any way that Raina deliberately dropped those catches, again no member![/I]

The rain yesterday and today would work in India's favour tomorrow, since the SLankans are not gonna have a rest day!

----------

May I ask why?

Yes you can, ask why......

The media is just blowing things out of proportion...the thing that happened ended before or while the players went to the dressing room the same day....The matter would have been already sorted out now, so lets stop this discussion and concentrate on the proceedings in the series. :)

If its anything the media has downplayed this issue, still dont know why the players havent been disciplined.

Do you think this fight will have any effect on the team camaraderie Krishna?

So Sri Lanka did a good job today and I am glad they won without aa bonus point, so kudos to the West Indians also.

India would need to win by a bonus point or by a wide margin to past of the West Indians on NRR. What I am worried about is the Lankans may be a bit jaded tomorrow, playing more or less back to back ODIs!
