Ugh, shocking display by New Zealand tbh, but I guess that's how their batting lineup rolls, either mediocre or pretty damn good...

Bright side is that I have two teams that I support in the one tri-series. Can't wait to see Sri Lanka get rolled over by India!

Nobody blamed the pitch beacuse both teams played in the same "conditions". Btw I don't think anyone is actually blaming the pitch, more so how the conditions change so much during the night.

This seems like funny timing. Imagine if a test was played under lights here. It'd be a disaster. Especially if one side got to bat mainly in the day and the other side was under lights. I think this night test thing is a BAD idea. Day/Night ODIs are bad enough.

The match between Ind and NZ is quite imp here,if India wins, NZ out of series, but if India looses then the teams for final will be decided after playing 3rd match..I have heard there is possibility of rain for next 2 matches

I don't think New Zealand really stand a chance aganist the Indian squad.

Even the lankans don't stand a chance against the indians!...We lost 4-1 earlier this year against them.

NZ are following a trend here. They won both T20's against India in NZ and then went on to lose the ODI series comprehensively. Again here in SL, they won both T20's against SL and have now lost the first ODI and look set for an encore. Only thing that will help them is that India havent played an international game for more than 2 months and could be rusty (though many players played the Corporate cup in India before leaving).

India are overwhelming favorites to send NZ packing out of the series. But cant rule out NZ since they are one of the top 8 teams. Expecting Raina to find his groove back in the ODI's after a torrid T20 World Cup. He is dangerous in ODI's and accumulates runs like mad.

Cause you had lost the toss in the 3rd and 4th ODI.

T20 games started at night so no excuses for that + wicket doesn't change a lot in a T20 match.

We have decoded the Mendis mystery. Thats how we won the last two bilateral series in Sri Lanka. Mendis is still a threat but we are capable of staving him off.. I am more confident now on India because we have our two most experienced players (Sachin and Dravid) to guide the team in an even better way

I read an interesting article in cricinfo during the Corporate Trophy,on how Dravid tested Raina's weakness against short balls and the way Raina tackled them.Now I hope Raina can play to his potential,given he has almost removed the weakness from his game.
