I think its a bit too damp to bat first there Sai, hope eng do well

Its a Hard wicket Champ. Its not a damp one. The lighting in the screenshot is less than it is supposed to be. Its a Hard wicket and full of runs.

Patch working too too good on a fresh Cricket2004 installation. Should improve my bowling or I will get thrashed here.

England start off well - 32/0 (6 overs)

England start off well - 32/0 (6 overs)
Marcus Trescothick 16* (23)
Geriant Jones 13* (16)
Z Khan 0/13 (3)

England have started off well scoring at 5 runs per over to reach 32/0 off 6 overs. The openers started off sedately and now look to open up their shoulders scoring some scorching boundaries. Trescothick in particular played two gorgeous shots - one a flick and the other one an on drive for four. Zaheer Khan was able to bowl a tight line but Agarkar failed as he was punished for 19 runs off 3 overs.

I agree. England are now 53/0 after 10 overs.

Sorry guys, havent been able tp update frequently as classes going on. Am playing between my classes. Will post updates whenever possible

England in a commanding position

England 84/1 - 15 overs
Marcus Trescothick 60* (55)
Geriant Jones 20 (34)
Micheal Vaughan 1* (4)

Run Rate: 5.6 per over | 35 overs remaining

England, particularly Marcus Trescothick have started the series with a bang, scoring 84/1 in the first 15 overs at nearly 6 runs per over. Trescothick in particular, has smashed all the four Indian bowlers used so far. He has reaches 60 off just 55 balls and is looking very very dangerous for another big hundred.

Geriant Jones was unfortunately run out when a superb throw from deep mid off boundary found him an inch short of his ground. He was out for 20.

The Indian fast bowlers, except for Khan (he too was expensive in a few overs) did not make an impact at all. On a wicket where runs are there to be taken, England are not too perturbed at the moment. India have to keep a check on the English batsmen before they run away to a total that is too tough to chase.

India back into the game - England 128/3

England 128/3 - 25 overs
Marcus Trescothick 73 (94)
Andrew Strauss 12* (13)
V Sehwag 1/11 (4)
A Kumble 1/15 (5)

India make a comeback into the game picking up 2 very important wickets, that of Micheal Vaughan and the dangerous looking Marcus Trescothick. First to go was Micheal Vaughan, holing out to short mid on for 6

Micheal Vaughan CAUGHT!

Next to fall was the most important wicket of the match. Marcus Trescothick lofted the ball straight down the ground but found Irfan Pathan and deep boundary taking the catch. Trescothick swung his bat in disgust as he knew a bigger score had missed him again. Sehwag was the lucky man to get the wicket. Sehwag has bowled very economically so far, picking 1/11 off 4 overs.

Marcus Trescothick OUT!

England after 25 overs are 128/3. Andrew Strauss and Andrew Flintoff are both at the crease. Strauss is particularly in good nick. He swept two consecutive balls from Yuvraj Singh for two gorgeous looking fours. And one knows how devastating Flintoff can be. The next session is going to be seriously interesting with both teams fighting it out in the middle of the pitch.
