come on India you can do it

Welcome back to my stories. Was missing your comments... :D

Ok guys, found a new way to update series statistics. I am using Microsoft Excel as it does the averages calculation for me. So, to view the series statistics, go to http://adidas-cup.cjb.net for the updated series statistics (Link also present in my signature!). The statistics will be updated as often as I can. Either during the match or after the match is over. It has comprehensive statistics of the whole series including Batting Averages, Highest scores, Results standings, bowling averages in the series, etc.

In the end of the page, it also contains the Rules and regulations of this triangular series. So, keep checking it often to see the standings of the series and other statistics.

:D . Was just learning to use Microsoft Excel in my Computer class for this semester's course and suddenly stuck upon the idea to use this series as a practice for my college course. I have my test coming Friday and formatting an excel sheet and saving it as a web page. This will come really useful!

England consolidate - 181/4 (35 overs)

England 181/4 -35 overs
Kevin Pietersen 43* (33)
Andrew Flintoff 18* (23)

England are slowly but surely inching towards a big total as Kevin Pietersen is taking the bull by the horns, despatching the Indian bowlers with disdain. The period between the 25th over and the 35th over, England have scored 58 runs at 5.8 per over. After the 25 over mark, Strauss was immediately out for 12 as he charged down the wicket and was stumped by Dhoni off Yuvraj Singh.

Andrew Strauss OUT!

But then Flintoff and Pietersen staged a great partnership as India were found scratching their heads in disbelief as the next 5 overs yielded 40 runs. But due to some tight bowling by Pathan and Agarkar, India were able to bring some calm to the proceedings but not by much.

Pietersen was in particular very aggressive, attacking the bowlers every over. One over from Sehwag, he hit three fours as Sehwag wilted under pressure and also Sehwag's temper got the better of him as he almost started throwing instead of bowling deliveries to Pietersen in disgust!

If England can score at 6 runs per over from now on, they can score 271 which will be a very challenging score for India to chase in the night!

Batting Stats after 35 overs!

Good score that by Eng there, Flintoff holds the key i think sai.

BTW happy to say this my 2000th post:happy and thank everbody for supporting me.

Happy to post it in this great story witers thread, thanks for the oppurtunity sai:happy

YA!, Kevin and flintoff are the real danger signs for Indians now!, they are the stand out players for ENG now a days. I hope, IND will find a way to break this partnership soon.

Exciting series sai!!!

All this is because of you boss. I am currently using your IRCUv3 with Tutsi 8.0 patch and your IRCUv3 is working like a dream. Players playing more close to their real life characteristics.

yes i think if flintoff and pitersn are still there in 45th over than i think there will be a score over 280+

Sehwag turns unlikely hero! England all out for 235

Virender Sehwag rips England apart - England 235 all out!
M. Trescothick 73
K.Pietersen 55
V Sehwag 6/45

In a dramatic turn of events, Virender Sehwag has turned an unlikely hero with the ball, ripping England apart with 6 wickets. In a very fruitful day for him, England crumbled to his above average off spin.

First to go was Flintoff who skied a ball from Pathan to mid off where the catch was easily accepted.

Paul Collingwood did not last long enough. He tried to clear the boundary with the first ball that he faced off Sehwag but found the fielder catching the ball instead!

The last three wickets were poor shot selection from the tail end batsmen. When they needed to have stayed at the wicket, most of them were trying to go after the spinners and gifted their wickets to the combination of Dhoni and Sehwag. Dhoni had another great game behind the stumps.

England are all out for 235 and India need 236 to win. Considering the position England were in after 35 overs, this is a very poor total. Also, they still had 5 more overs left when they were bowled out. India are now in the drivers seat!

excellent come back by india.....this shows how important part time bowlers are for the team....u never know when its their day, when your main bowlers arent bowling well bring on part time bowlers, you never know how they are going to perform just like sehwag in this match

I always believe in the part time bowlers. Thats why I give them few overs every match!

Lets watch how India chases this total. Should be a fairly easy task but you never know what India is upto
