well done by India to restrict the score to 263 . I think they will chase it sucessfully! Your Presentation is superb . Which AI patch are you using ?

i also feel the same.. Shane Bond and Vettori frustrated the Indians out there with some daring strokeplay. India should find it challenging enough to chase the target!

India make good start!

India 53/1 - 10 overs!

Virender Sehwag's poor run and Sachin Tendulkar's golden run continues as India, in reply to New Zealand's 262, have scored 53 off the first 10 overs. They were 22/0 off 5 overs at a stage but Yuvraj and Tendulkar ressurected them well to above the required run rate with some good shots.

Sehwag's poor run in recent matches continued. He started off promisingly hitting a straight lofted shot for four. But he tried to sweep a full toss and got the top edge for the ball to balloon up in the air and the fielder did no mistake in clinging on to the catch.

As soon as news spread that New Zealand had scored 262 and were in a good position, the ground at Christchurch started filling up and is now packed to the full.

Even though India are slightly ahead of the required run rate here, batting on this wicket is still difficult with the ball not travelling fast on this outfield. Once the 15 over field restriction is over, one can expect an even more dip in the scoring rate of the Indians. India should now try to rotate the strike and keep the scorebaord moving on. A very interesting match on hands!

Match interestingly poised!

India 76/2 - 15 overs!
Sachin Tendulkar 43* (59)
D.Vettori 1/7 (3)

Current Run Rate: 5.07 per over | 35 overs remaining

New Zealand make a mild comeback into the game, picking up the crucial wicket of Yuvraj Singh as India are pushed back a bit in their pursuit to chase a demanding total of 263 to win the third ODI against New Zealand. Going by the over comparison, New Zealand are well ahead of India at the 15 over mark.

After 15 overs:
India 76/2
New Zealand: 93/2

Both have lost two wickets but New Zealand 17 runs ahead! And now since the field restrictions are over, India will find it tougher to handle Vettori and Wiseman on this track which is starting to assist the spinners.

Coming back to the first 15 overs, Tendulkar and Yuvraj played some good shots to keep India moving when at one stage after Sehwag fell, India looked to have lost the momentum.

Yuvraj Singh was playing well and was not out on 19 when he tried to cut a short ball from Vettori on the backfoot and ended up under edging the ball onto his stumps. It was a big blow for India because Yuvraj along with Tendulkar have the ability to take the match out of New Zealand's reach.

Windstorm engulfs Christchurch!

A serious windstorm has engulfed the ground at Christchurch where the cricket match between India and New Zealand is being currently being played. It all started when the bails over the stumps fell off the ground and the stumps started shaking heavily. The umpires immediately asked the players to leave the ground immediately. Play is right now held up for over 30 minutes. The umpires are making an inspection from outside the ground on the status of the wind and it looks like the storm is receding now. We might expect play to resume soon!

good start by india hope the storm doesnt affect them

India docked an over! Require 187 off 34 overs!

Since play has been lost for over 40 minutes, India have received a shocking decision from the match referee that an over has been docked for them but the required target remains the same. Seems a controversial decision and one cant say what the match referee was thinking of when he docked the over but did not bring the required runs down. Anyways, India now face a tougher task of scoring the runs required to win the match.

Current standing: New Zealand are ahead!

 I know why the match referee did that....cuz unless the match was reduced to 49 overs, the day and night match was turning into a day game!

Smart guy Siddarth.. I just was searching for a solution to this Day/Night games turning back to Day. From now on, I will have less Day/Night games and all my Day/Night games will be 49 overs a side matches
