New Zealand in a good position!

New Zealand 150/4
Craig Mc Millan 43* (46)
Chris Harris 12* (15)
A. Kumble 2/37 (5)

A very good batting display from New Zealand though India have pegged them back with 4 wickets. They are continuously scoring at 6 runs per over and if they do not lose wickets till the 40th over, we might see the first 300 total of the tournament. Craig Mc Millan is not out on 43* and Harris is not out on 12*

First to go was Fleming. Kumble after the drinks break (15 overs), bowled a leg break outside off which Fleming lofted through covers but the fielder at covers took a catch above his head to send Fleming back for 43.

Fleming OUT!

Next to come in was Cairns. Cairns started off very well hitting boundaries. He also hit the first six of the match and the first six by a batsman against a human player in this series. It was a high cover driven six. But two balls after the six, he stepped down the track to a leg break and missed it to be bowled for 20 by Kumble!

Cairns Bowled!

Mc Millan was his peak form, hitting the Indian bowlers at will. In an over from Kumble, he hit a crisp cover drive and rocked on his backfoot to punch the ball through the off side for four. He looks good currently for a big score and India should try to pick his wicket soon.

New Zealand looks good for a big total. Lets hope India restricts them and then chases the total successfully!

Sehwag again comes to the fore with his bowling, pick up crucial wickets to thrust India back into the game. First, he started off with Mc Millan's wicket. Mc Millan charged down the wicket and was bowled by Sehwag for 49.

Next to go was Brendon Mc Mullum who was well set up by Sehwag. Sehwag bowled a flat delivery to Mc Mullum which was despatched for a straight four. The next ball, Sehwag looped it in the air and Mc Mullum couldnt resist coming down the wicket and Dhoni did the rest behind the stumps.

Mc Mullum OUT!

Jacob Oram came in next and gave good support to Harris scoring 16 runs off 11 balls. He hit some good boundaries down and to the off side of the wicket. But just when he was looking good for a good score, he charged Tendulkar and was bowled for 16.

Oram OUT!

Vettori batting now along with Chris Harris. Barring some sensational batting by Harris and the tail, India can now easily envison a target chase of under 250 which should be perfectly achievable on this wicket! India in the driver's seat now!

indian part time bowlers proving useful again.....come on india

New Zealand score 262 all out!

New Zealand set India a target of 262 to win!

Chris Harris 45
A. Kumble 2/46

A determined New Zealand tail wagged merrily as New Zealand posted a very commanding total of 262 for India to chase and win their second match of the series. Harris led the way with a fine 45. At one stage, New Zealand were 198/7 and in dire straits of collapsing for a meagre score. But Vettori, Bond and Oram ensured New Zealand reached a very commanding that India would find difficult to chase.

Harris played a fine although slower innings of 45 before he was the last man out, caught at fine leg off Agarkar who took his first wicket of the match.
