West Indies in England

Seriously - no way is Lara coming out of retirement. He decided to go, and I'm sure he'll stick to the decision. It's not his problem that there are lots of injuries...

Lara is still constantly in the nets training for something, while it is unlikely that it is a surprise return for West Indies straight after retiring, it is an interesting note and could be for the Twenty20 Indian Cricket League along with McGrath who is already confirmed for it.

Partial Source: The Tony Grieg Show.

Sarwan out of the tour, Flintoff out of the 3rd test and most probably the 4th test.

Sorry people but Lara isn't coming back. He's not going to do an Afridi and come out of a stupid early retirement.

Keep Flintoff out of ther series I say; It's not as if we are desperatley missing him. We could do with his pace and accuracy as a first change bowler though.

you wont say this when the indians are here and battering england

Start reading what's there and not what you want to be there you tit.

We are 1-0 up and could possibly be 2-0 up if not for weather so we aren't missing him greatly are we? I want him in the team but we don't really need to risk him against a lesser team like the West Indies.

And no, the Indians won't be battering us this summer. You seem to forget that we haven't lost a home series since 2001 and that was against the World Champions in full cry....

In fact, the last home series we lost against a team other than Australia at home was in 1999 against New Zealand when we were absolutely abysmal.

if he has the ankle op then he wont be back in time for the indian series
last time it also kept him out for a few months

Where's your logic in saying that?

He doesn't have any. He's just a very bitter and spiteful Pakistan supporter. :)

If Fred needs an op, DO IT NOW! Don't make the same mistake as we have in the past and delay the operation. Get it over with ASAP.

Relevance to thread is?

It's such a shame to see Fred in this injury state. It bears resemblance to the dark old days of his injury troubled early career.

And don't rush him back like we did for the Champions Trophy and the Ashes.

Please return to the topic in hand chaps.

I have confidence in Moores. I don't think we'll see Flintoff again until the winter; Quite right too.
