YORKSHIRE SEASON 2007

Yorkshire have reached the 2007 Season, and are ready to begin. They have changed a bit from the 2006 season with a couple of new signings. New players like Ewing, Leaney, Deasey*, Hucknall, Zorax*, Pra and the 2 new International players, Ricky Poting, great batsmen :clap , and Shahid Nazir, of Pakistan have just signed up. Last season Yorkshire won the County Championship, the Challenge Cup and also the 20-20 cup and got promoted to division 1 in pro 40 league :happy ...Nic Davies* did brilliantly yet again making 1393 in the season :hpraise (top scorer) and Hoggard the top bolwer overall with 103 wickets :clap ...can they do it again???

Yorkshires first match is aginst Northhamptonshire at home...they have prepared a seamer friendly pitch...but all of their international players (vaughn, hoggard, ponting, nazir) have gone on international duty because of the worldcup...so all of this is english talent  (well...)

P.S can you guys suggest to me a good free screenie capturer??? and also the guys not picked don't get sad because you will get a chance sooner or later...

Yorkshire lose the toss but are surprisingly put in to bowl on a great bowling pitch...the weather is going to remain sunny throughout...this is going to be a good contest between bat and ball...

Lineup lease?
Nice presenatation too. Try and remove the white bits though...

Glad I'm batting at 4, hopefully I can get a few runs. Lets take some early wickets here with the new ball.

1) The match is underway and Yorkshire strike immidiatley with the help of Zohaib who got White caught behind for only 15 (i know you can't see the keeper and the slip courdan in the screenie but they went to get some water and the keeper was back in time to hold onto the catch  ). Northhamptonshire were in a bit of bother now with 19-1...

2) North. started to settle in quite well after the first wicket with some well timed boundaries from both the batsmen but they looked trouble with legends off-spin...he struck in his first over trapping Bilal LBW for 20 and just as North. were getting settled they lose a wicket...It's 58-2 now...

3) The new batsmen was finding it very difficult to find any spaces and looked very troubled with legends off-spin. Legend was bowling brilliantly and got his reward by the wicket of Sales who got an inside edge which was held comfortably by Tahir in the slips...North. were in trouble now with 70-3...

4) Legend almost got another wicket with the very next bowl after sales wicket but was denied by the umpire...everyone seemed certain that it was out but the umpire shook is head firmly...after that the bowlers didn't really seem to trouble the Norths batsmen and Crook took advantage of that racing to his 50 of only 75 bowls...

So the situation after session 1 is that Norths are 129-3 and looking fairly comfortable...Tykes need to get 2 or 3 quick wickets after the break to get an advantage over the Norths...
