Already lots of discussion in other thread about our team, may as well have this thread to discuss it in.

I'm sitting on the fence at the moment, but Hilfenhaus, Hauritz and Siddle are certainty's for the third Test. A bowl off between Johnson, Lee and Clark is in order in the tour match.

Brett Lee has to play. And can Australia change there batting line-up at all. Do they have any reserve batsmen here?

No reserve batsmen. Watson, McDonald and Manou. Watson is the only option from those 3. I've heard he is actually the reserve batsmen, bowling aside, which is fair enough.

Watson. The reserve batsmen?

FB wouldn't like that :D

Stuart Clark over Brett Lee for mine. Depends who bowls better in the tour match but atm it's Clark.

Damn straight I dont! 7 ducks in FC since 2006 (which is only 24 innings for him). How that is reserve batsmen quality I shall never know!!

Jumping the gun a bit, but okay :p

So, Aus are 1-0 heading here. Obviously a must win for them, and therefore Johnson must go. Lee, if fit, should play, otherwise Clark.

I would actually rather that the next 2 tests are draws then we win the last Test thanks to England getting a series of crappy calls. Not only would it make me feel better but it would be an even sweeter way to regain the Ashes :p

We can play both Lee and Clark. Hauritz hasn't done anything wrong, but he hasn't lit it up.

We HAVE to play Clark and Johnson should be dropped, I know its only 2 bad matches, but this is the Ashes! We want to friggin' win! We don't have time to "allow him to find form", we need the players who can do it now!

Can Hauritz actually play with his injured finger? It would be smart to rest him, so can play some part in the last two Test matches. If he is fit enough for the third Test, he should play.

Clark really should start playing. His bowling average against England is under 19.

If Hauritz is injured I'd send Krejza over as cover. I wouldn't say Siddle is a lock in atm, hes averaging more than Johnson this series and only slightly less expensive. Of course I wouldn't trust the averages too much as Flintoff is averaging way more than both Johnson and Siddle!

Still I could see the selectors going for more experience and going with Lee, Clark, Hilfenhaus, Hauritz. Someone said Lee doesn't want to play in the warm up to keep himself in cotton wool. If he does that then I wouldn't be picking him. He needs to prove his fitness and if he still has his form.

Fully agree.
