Third Test: Australia v England at Edgbaston

Its always hard changing your opener mid series. Plus there isn't much to say our replacement would do much better. Rogers would be the next in line though opener wise unless we do some moving.

I hope we finally learn not to play stupid shots. We continue to do it series after series, this time the lower order didn't save us.

He's played 24 FC innings in 3 years? He makes Freddie look healthy.

This game is so important now. England win I'd back us to win the Ashes but if Australia win then I'd see them going on to win.

North, Hughes, Hussey have this test to do something. I would be sending an SOS to Hodge and possibly David Hussey/Rogers.

Johnson has the tour match to show he still has it, same with Siddle.

I think Broad bowled well enough to maintain his place, anyway, my feelings on Harmison ever pulling on the England jersey are well known. Ravi just needs to settle down, I don't think Bell has done enough to warrant getting back in to the side.

Hughes has to make some runs in the next test that's for sure. Lets be honest here, he has looked pretty bad all series.

I thought Siddle was one of the better bowlers in the first test but he looked a little tired in this match which is probably down to the fact that he's been sick. Give him another go, if he is rubbish in the 3rd test then bring Lee in for him. Atm we need Clark.

I lol at Greg Matthews saying that Peter Siddle was bowling badly, he was bloody sick for god`s sakes. He should stay in the side for the 3rd test i reckon. But yes, we need Clark badly, maybe for Johnson, but then we`d have a really bad tail, as Mitch can bat pretty well. Just imagine our tail- Hauritz-Siddle-Clark-Hilfenhaus Not too good IMO. Our Bowling line-up for the 3rd test is gonna be a tricky one to decide.

Probably find himself in the exact situation we were today for Victoria and score 521 of the required 522. Then again, the selectors will probably see that as an abysmal effort and selfish as he let the rest of the team the daunting task of scoring 1 run themselves....
