Third Test: Australia v England at Edgbaston

Yeah, i reckon you guys should give Harmison a go at our top-order, he troubles our top order alot. Onions bowled pretty average i reckon.

That's just my point: the Aussies would not want to have to cope with Flintoff and Harmison!

4 man pace attack... Harsh on Hauritz as he does seem to be coming along. His wickets are getting a little better. It depends on the pitch I would say.

Nah Hauritz was part of that lineup, Lee, Clark, Hilfenhaus, Hauritz. Still see him as a defensive bowler but thats what we need atm. My lineup is assuming Lee carries his tour match form. Because if he does we have a guy that can bowl reverse swing and if he gets it right out swing. If Siddle gets things right in the tour match I would be happy having him in the side, but it seems he needs another season to fine tune his game and the Ashes isn't the place to be doing that.

Oh my god, please tell me people have forgotten how much of a bottler nad how absolutely terrible Bell is. Give me Patel, Trott, Moore, Denly, Morgan, Hildreth, Solanki anyone but the worlds biggest bottler.

I reckon you'd be making a big mistake not playing Hauritz. So, by all means, leave him out!!!!! :D

You wouldn't want to throw any of them into the middle of an Ashes series.

Regarding Lee, I see him as a bowler that English batsmen still fear. He was quite expensive during the 2005 series but bowled some wonderful spells too.

I disagree. First innings he was good and the reason his second innings figures were so poor was because he only bowled one spell and it was when Australia were attacking and England had very aggressive fields.

Plus the fielding of his bowling was very poor.

Is Hauritz the top wicket taker in this series?

Oh sorry didn't read that properly. What would your tour bowling line-up be? I would have a bowl off between Johnson, Clark and Lee and then Hauritz. Like I said Siddle looked flat and was sick so I was thinking we should give him a rest. It's a hard call really. No Hauritz?

Bearing in mind that England have taken 25 wickets and Aus 34:

The really interesting thing for me there is that Johnson has outbowled Siddle.

I would have no issue whatsoever with throwing Trott in. I would put all of them in ahead of Bell. I can't believe I forgot Shah as well.

This is a hard one because If Lee is fit he needs to play and you cant drop Hilfy or Siddle and I don’t see Johnson being dropped his batting might just of saved him! Australia will always play Hauritz. So im guessing the unlucky guy who will be dropped for Lee will be Siddle.

Agreed. I'd be happy to see him out of the side for the 3rd Test. :D
