To be honest blaming the management and the captain for every batting failure is hard to digest for me.

While I agree with this partly, I also feel the reason for the unsettling behavior of the batsmen is because of them. First they talked about batting aggressively and showing intent (which I believe was when Pujara lost his natural style of play) and then two days ago, the same man says to show patience and composure. This talk of "intent" and "aggressiveness" definitely plays a part in the way our batsmen play out in the middle.

What is the point of holding Ashwin back when he performed superbly last game. So what if two right handed are playing ... We need wickets to have even a glimmer of hope here. This game is all but lost otherwise

This is some excellent strike rotation by Buttler and Bairstow. It's not allowing the Indian bowlers to consistently bowl at one batsman and come up with a plan to get him out.

They are negating Shami and Ishant quite well. I'd like to see either Shami and Ishant at one end considering the swing, and have Kuldeep or Ashwin bowl at the other end. Very surprising Ashwin hasn't bowled. He was fantastic, and it's odd to see someone like Pandya bowling when he hasn't.
