Also, if anyone hasnt been following the Indian selection, the senior players (Sachin, Dravid, etc.) had opted out of the twenty20 tournament, wanting India to build a youthful team. Zaheer wasn't picked because of a bruised heel.

I personally think one thread for the Twenty20 championship is pushing it a bit. I guess there is no alternative seeing that the tournament is still about a month away. It just seems a little difficult to discuss multiple squads within one page without the discussion becoming confusing.

Because the tournament isn't long and a day's posts would refer to a confusing number of games, I'd say there'd be a good reason for splitting the megathread into microfibres once the games begin.

Take from this what you will but Indian television news stations are reporting that Lalchant Rajput has been chosen to be the interim coach for India for the Twenty20 World Championship.

Some information. Nathan McCullum is an all-rounder from Otago. Brother of Brendon. He's an Off-Spinner who bats aggressively. I guess you could say he;s a bowling all-rounder. Brad Scott is a strange selection. I can;t say I agree with it. Anyway he's a pace bowler. Not fast, nothing really special about him. They say he's a good death bowler, left armer for a change and some accuracy. I would have preferred Harris in there.

Fleming is sitting out so he can prepare for the Test and ODI series comming up with Notts and to give Vettori full reign. There is no other reasons.

Franklin missing out is a problem. Though in the press, he missed out to prepare for further tours and recover fully from injury. Still I think he was a key player.
