Wow, this draft is just world's apart from the other one isn't it. That one is moving at lightning pace, and this one has had god knows how many picks skipped. I'm willing to pull the plug on this one if others are too. We could start one at another time with members who are more willing to participate later on.

Unlucks. Freddie's in my side :D Just hoping my next pick isn't taken now. I might cry if he is.

I'm already crying. I wanted Mr Cricket :crying It's not fair to have him and Bevan in the same team. Actually, thinking about it, it's probably not that great an idea since they both thrived in the same role.

Dude, stop suggesting we give this up! Yes the other draft is moving better - so what? At least this one is still moving. We can start a draft at ANYTIME, why give up on this one when we're halfway through it? We've got replacements to step in for the deadweights. It'll just finish after the Test one that's all :p

Okay, I'm obviously willing to keep this alive but others don't seem as willing, that's all. If you want to continue, that's fine, I'm happy to continue as well :).

KP and Hussey. Nice picks but you already have a similar player in Bevan. Had my eye on Hussey. I'm going to have to choose my next Australian very carefully. Only have one left.

^Good to hear. I was getting worried since every 2nd page you seem to suggest we should start again, the draft's so slow yadda yadda :laugh. We aren't going too badly, maybe our 8 aren't quite as active as the other 8, but we've only missed 3 picks so far. Lost a couple of guys though...

So Gazza, who will the lucky Aussie be today? Last one dude. And Shravi mate you need to go easy on the Aussies too :laugh

I disagree. Having both Huss and Bevan IMO makes the team even stronger. Just imagine them batting together - excellent running, big huts, and boundaries when needed the most. Very pleased with the selection. Kp adds explsiveness and stabilty both to he middle order.
Got a few left field picks for the bowling dept and a couple of openers in mind as well. May not have the big names so far but one of the better teams so far.

Lol, sorry if it's getting repetitive.

Well, I can't help it :p. The Aussies have just been so good. Very happy with my Dennis Lillee pick. Best fast bowler ever.

Until king aggers burst on the scene. :ninja

Cricketman added 1 Minutes and 31 Seconds later...

Oh and btw guys if any of my posts have typos please bare with me, typing on a wry laggy iPod touch.

fearsome tweak, was gonna go Hussey! Chose Sangakkara because I needed a good keeper!

CURTLEY! Love Curtley, but I didn't need another quick. I'd say he was the best one out there to pick though mate - great choice.

I've gone for another big fella, but this time in girth, not height:
Inzamam-ul-Haq

A formidable cricketer - both in size and ability. Burst onto the international stage at the '92 World Cup where I remember watching him provide some whirlwind finishing from #6 for Pakistan in the semi final v NZ and the final v Eng. For 15 more years Inzy anchored the Pakistan middle order. Once he got in, he was a punishing player, able to handle the quicks better than most Pakistani players. In fact Imran Khan once rated him the best player of pace in the world.

He's currently the 4th highest run scorer in ODI cricket history, averaging a tick under 40 in his 15 years of ODI cricket. A remarkable career.

One thing I particularly like about Inzy is that he's shown an ability to bat anywhere in the middle order and in any situation. Starting at #5 or #6 and even opening a couple of times before his talent was entrusted with the vital #3 spot. He then gradually moved down as his career progressed to #4 and #5. I'll start him at #5 but where he ends up depends on other picks.
