LANGER OUT,JAQUES OUT

Australia has named a surprising squad for the 3rd Test in Peth later this week. Phil Jaques has come into the lineup in place of Justin Langer, who's dissapointing season involves scores of 21,8,8,2 and an overall average of 9.25. Jaques says he can't wait to play in the 3rd Test and play for his country and try to regain the Ashes

ENGLAND OPT FOR UNCHANGED LINEUP

England have today named an unchanged lineup for the 3rd Test starting in Perth later this week. Ed Joyce was rumored to be in the squad but was left out because the selectors didn't want to change the team that had succses over Australia in Adelaide last week

PRE GAME REPORT

Pitch
The Pitch is exactly what you would expect from this ground. Its hard and Dry and will crack up around day 4. Its a good pitch for bowling and great for the fast bowlers until day 4, when it should become a spinners pitch

Australia
Lost the last test match in Adelaide and will need to play better to beat England. If Shaun Tait fires like he did last Test, Australia will hold the upperhand and Shane Warne should bowl well in this 2nd innings. In the batting department the top order needs to improve. Phil Jaques has come into the squad in place for Justin Langer so he will need to show why he deserves to play for Australia

England
Will come into this Test with momentum. They beat Australia last week in Adelaide and will know they are good enough to beat them. If they bowl first they will need to take advantage of Phil Jaques nerves. Maybe throw in a few short ball and a couple of yorkers and they should get him early. Englands batters will need to carry there brilliant form into this match. Kevin Pietersen is in fantastic form, along with Andrew Strauss

COIN TOSS

ctme9.jpg

Mark Nicholas: I'm here in the middle of the W.A.C.A with Andrew Flintoff and Ricky Ponting for the coin toss. The coin goes up, Andrew chooses heads and heads it is. Now Andrew what are you going to do

Andrew Flintoff: We're going to have a bat mainly because it looks like a good track to make big scores and it will crack up later in the match will will help Monty in the last innings

Mark Nicholas: Now Ricky what were you going to do if you had won it?

Ricky Ponting: Well we would of had a bat because its a good hard pitch but we don't mind about bowling first, hopefully we can restrict England to under 300

Mark Nicholas: Thanks fellas. Stay tuned for the first update in about 10/20 miniutes

HONOURS EVEN AT LUNCH

In what was a good session of cricket, England managed to be 2/78 at Lunch on Day 1. Lee and Tait got both the openers out cheaply until Bell and Collingwood put on a strong partnership. Bell is on 29 not out and Collingwood is 36 not out

BELL AND COLLINGWOOD PUT ON BRAVE FIGHT

Ian Bell and Paul Collingwood have guided their team to 3/159 at Tea on Day 1. Ian Bell fell for 59, from a brilliant wrong-un by Shane Warne. That brought the danger man Kevin Pietersen to the crease who is in career best form, with hundreds in the Brisbane and Adelaide tests

i asked this ages ago, are you going to be doing another series after this, as your story is amazin

and i said earlier i might start a new thread, maybe a vb series though. But i want ideas on how to set it out. Innings by Innings, Wicket by wicket, every 25 overs, I just don't know
