Asia Cup 2010 - Sri Lanka

And what's the problem with Nehra, he's been performing decently, was the only bowler to watch during T20's too.

I honestly do not like Nehra. Extremely inconsistent! His good form comes in bursts and then disappears! :spy

Nehra is crap, in limited overs I guess he is semi decent but he should never don whites again

Even Ajit Agarkar is better than Nehra (according to me). That one spell of 6-23 against England, what else has he done? Nothing else comes to mind immediately.

Whats so sarcastic about that?

And about Nehra, he has been inconsistent as usual. He comes in and picks up a few wickets when its all over (at the end of an innings when the runs have been scored) and sprays the ball everywhere inspite of having been so experienced at international level having played so much. And his fielding?? Dont want to talk abt it. He is playing because the selectors have lost hope in the other options. Still, Sreesanth or RP Singh are better than Nehra.

Are you serious? Nehra has been our most consistent bowler over the last year. Seriously tell me which of our bowlers doesn't spray the ball around? Let's get one thing clear. None of our bowlers know how to properly bowl a yorker, that's right not even Zak. We can get close but not quite a Dale steyn or Umar Gul type wicket taking yorker. That's why we are so bad at the death overs. Nehra not only opens the bowling but is also MSD's go to man (along with Zak) during the battle powerplay and the death overs. So basically Nehra is always bowling when the field is up. Also you talk like any of our other bowlers can field. The only difference between Nehra and the rest of our bowlers when they field is that Nehra looks more ugly when he fumbles or dives, lol.

RP Singh? lolol... Dude can only perform when bowling conditions are helpful. Crap in IPL 1, awesome in IPL 2 (was held in SA) and ████ in IPL 3. Reason I'm using IPL as an example is because he hasn't played Int cricket for what 2 years now?

Sreesanth? LMAO Cricinfo - Blogs - It Figures

honestly India's fast bowling line up for WC 2011 should consist of:
-Nehra
-Zak
-Praveen/ Ishant/ Irfan (if he can find some good form with the ball over the next 7-8 months)

Tests:
-Zak
-Ishant
-Sreesanth (preferably outside of India since we use 2 spinners in India).

He's not the best, that is def. reserved for Zak. I would like to try out some of the new guys - Vinay Kumar, Mithun, Dhawal for sure, and hell even that Undulkar bloke. I still have faith in Irfan and Sree though.

Unadkat? :p Just had his First Class debut. A bit inconsistent in the List A format, but promising. Wayyyyy too early to push him onto the international scene.

Mithun is not ready. Just had one First Class season, where he was brilliant, but was horrific in the List A format! Had Mithun bowled well in the List A format, Karnataka might've won the List A tournament too - since Pandey and Satish were in great batting form.

Nehra isn't great. RP Singh seems to have a good cricketing brain, but struggles when the conditions aren't in his favour. Basically, what he needs is someone to guide him on how to bowl on flat pitches. He tends to bowl way too short sometimes, or strives too hard for the yorker. Sreesanth is talented, but lacks brains, and accuracy. If he gets his accuracy right, he's actually a very good bowler, but that happens only once in a blue moon.

We really shouldn't give up on Ishant Sharma. The guy needs to be given strength training, and should be coached under someone's guidance so that he can develop to his potential best.

Ishant will be back. He has shown glimpses of what he is capable of in the last few months. I just feel he should be give the new ball. He will be much more affective that way (he's not a death bowler). Zak/Ishant and Nehra first change.

Ishant should not be given up on, I agree. Zaheer also went through these periods that Ishant is going through.

Unless Ishant does something fantastic I can't see him coming back. 2011 is a hell of a year for India, and if he is not producing by the time it starts, why should he get a spot in the team for the 2011 tours

Who is going to guide him? Any Indian coach is just going to slow his pace down again for line and length (which he got up after Prasad was sacked). He needs foreign guidance, or self train. He's also competing against Sreesanth for the spot and maybe even Irfan. ZK and Nehra are going to keep their permanent spots in the WC squad I feel.

Send him to county? Then again, whats the point if the wickets remain roads in India

Counties is a good idea, if he receives proper guidance about how to adapt back. He needs time. Good thing is he has tons of it on his side, maybe not for upcoming WC but after it.

I wouldn't say that except Nehra and Zak anybody is permanent in indian pace aatack, nobody is good, even these two aren't going really good in shorter versions.

Why not try every available option. Bring in Unadkat I would say, Bring in Kulkarni(how the damn tweaking he's not making his debut since 3 years, Indian Selecton:mad:). I would say try every available option instead of going back to those damn puns like Sharma and Sree and RP and all that.
