I am sure if India were chasing 380+ on this very wicket, they would have been batting in a similar fashion as well. It is all about pressure.

I`m not sure about that based upon recent evidence. 330 in 36 overs against SL (Mallinga went for 90+ in his 9) at Hobart, 331 in 44 against Pakistan (against Gul, Ajmal and Riaz) and these two run chases against this very attack (with Johnson in it) where they chased down 360 with 8 overs to spare without breaking a sweat. Among all the carnage, its easy to ignore Shami`s spell but he has been special tonight.

Excellent innings from Rohit Sharma, who has been realizing his potential very rapidly in recent times. And the push to opener's spot has been working like magic for him. Sachin's graph spiked upward when he became opener. Something similar is happening for Rohit. Hope this rubs on him for tests and he becomes a good test player too.

it's a bit new zealand v bangladesh mark II really.

I've always thought the rules were too batsmen friendly but that's not the only cause of the big scores here. the pitches are too flat and there are far better batsmen on the pitch than bowlers, you have kohli and dhoni in there, Dhoni is for me a top 10 ever ODI player and kohli is playing like he'll be the best ever. rules could only go a little way to redressing the scores in this series.
