Australia Tour Of India 2012/13

Warner goes, LBW. Just when Australia were starting to counter attack, now we just need to get Clarke :)

We could seriously go a full inning without using our seamers here, wonder if that's ever happened...

Back to back 50s from Henriques, great batting by him in this match. Jumped to our second best player of spin in the space of 2 innings.

So except for Henriques, no other Australian batsman in second innings could score more than the runs scored by No. 10 on debut (Kumar - 38 runs) in this so called dead pitch.

I am still waiting for a single reason of why Wade is preferred above Haddin in these conditions. Australia going with one spinner proved to be terrible decision as well.

I don't think Mitchell Starc should have ever played this test match. He still has a lot of work to do when it comes to the longest format. He is still very inconsistent with his line and his length. Going into the match his stats were reasonable, however his stats were improved by him picking up wickets late in the innings when the damage was already done. He rarely had an effect during the first 50 overs of an innings. I'd be very interested to see what his average would be while only bowling in the first 50 overs of the innings. My bet not very good.

Moises what a player he is

MSD is the difference between these two sides, horrendous umpiring also went India's way and the AUS had zero luck on their side, nevertheless if memory serves me right Eng lost the first test also and came back well, history would also repeat itself, and the AUS would triumph and the Indians would bite the dust!

India will win the match. But I hope that the Aussies can at least get a bit closer and gain a little bit of momentum and confidence going into the next match.

Well played India! Took so many wickets on a so-called 'road of a pitch'. Was worrying if Ashwin can only do well against a mediocre side and that too in home conditions only. But his performance this game has been exemplary. I still rate Australia as one of the top sides though they miss Ponting and Hussey from recent times. And most of the players have played Ashwin in the IPL in Indian conditions to know him well. He is not a mystery spinner like a Mendis or Narine.

Hope we wrap this up tomorrow. Will be mighty satisfying.
