Smith looks very comfortable against the spin, bit dodgy against the reverse of Sharma but most Aussie batsmen are suspect to that. Haddin good too, so after 3 test we finally have more than one player who is good against spin.

I feel for Cowan. I was hoping he'd get his second Test hundred. Unfortunately it wasn't to be.

As I said...the criticism of Smith has been unfair...the guy can play...seems these dump on everyone fans know nothing...and can not even name any alternatives anyway.
Yeah, Smith's bowling is not test standard...yet.
But the guy is 23, leave him be.
He shows way more potential than Cameron White ever did.

Also with Day 1 washed out, we could easily get in 60 overs over 4 days of time. India have already bowled 100 overs today, 5 more before stumps hopefully. 105 overs daily and we lose 30 overs only out of the minimum actual quota. What say?

This is pretty even tbh.Quite like Chennai on day 1.This pitch looks tricky enough to me to call 330 odd a good enough score.India definitely bounced back after the 1st session quite well.
India probably ahead but only just.Positive signs for Australia in Cowan and Warner.Did not expect Smith to play how he did.

India has kept a good over rate throughout the day . I think Dhoni has concentrated well in keeping a good rate after he was suspended from a test match (during the australian tour) for low over rate.
