Woah, that's a pretty comprehensive win! How did the game go xtremexdesix?? I mean obviously not the way you wanted but what were the turning points? Was he such a good bowler or is your batting not quite timed yet?? Just reading the front post page! You're not out of it yet man, you're not out of it yet!! A good win can still see you through! How many games have you got left?? If I read it properly you need to hope that cheesesarnie (the name of the tournament by the way!) wins his last game!

1st post has been updated/fixed.

The next two matches should be done by Saturday. This tournament is moving at a very healthy speed. My thanks to all the participants, and a special thank you to the grandfather who is following us on ye olde poore internet connection. Lets give the old timer some good cricket to read about in these, his final years

If you want to play in the 2nd season of the Monty Burns Cup, please vote now, participation will be increased to 10 players in two groups of 5. There will be a longer group stage and possibly a longer playoff, with a super 6.

The inaugural edition of the Monty Burns Cup has run like a fine oiled machine. This has been solely due to the maturity and punctuality of the participants. I highly encourage all serious players to read the rules (when posted) and apply.

The confusion about the rules was that Gunner asked if he could use a special team, which he cannot, then he proceeded to select the same team I had already selected which he also cannot.

As soon as I explained the rules the corrected his mistake, good game buddy, Match summary to follow soon in 1st post.

Indeed, especially with cheesesarnie showing up for the first time and playing two games. He is the real wild card.

Group B could swing either way, have to see once the round ends if amjad can improve his position or be tied with burnsy08.

Round 3 looks to be the most interesting yet, the fixtures will be released as soon as the last game in Round 2 is played!
