Vijay needs some time to rest and get back.We cant open with anyone else,so we need Faf.

Drop Vijay for Faf and holder for a domestic bowler. CSK can really do without Vijay who can quite often be a careless fielder as well.

Yeah... about that, we don't exactly have a decent domestic bowler(maybe Imtiaz Ahmed) worth playing, we're just about lucky we found one in Mohit Sharma.

And Vijay a careless fielder? Say what? The guy is no Raina, but he can definitely hold his own in the field.

Vijay can take some blinders and can stop instoppable balls at times, maybe very odd cases he misfields, but thats not the issue.I am a big fan of Murali Vijay but Anirudha Srikanth is a decent player too. With CSK doing well right now and we dont have a must win game,i want Aniruda to play a match ahead of Vijay.Poor guy has just got a single chance and unfortunately he got out for a duck,so lets give Vijay a small break of 1 or 2 games and let Srikanth play.

I'd be on board for that if he fails vs Kolkata on Sunday, and every game is a must win game bro, a squad as good as ours should be finishing top of the table on the regular!

For me, the team should be like this for next match ---

Michael Hussey
Aniruddha Srikanth
Sureh Raina
Mahendra Singh Dhoni
Ravindra Jadeja
Dwayne Bravo
Albie Morkel
Ravichandran Ashwin
Mohit Sharma
Dirk Nannes (if fit) [otherwise, Chris Morris]

Like I said earlier, I'm persisting with Vijay for one more game, so unless Dirk Nannes is fit(in which case he'll come right in for Jason Holder), I'm going unchanged again!

For me..the XI for the next match should be like this

Wriddhiman Saha(unless Dhoni decides to bring Vijay or Faf)
MEK Hussey
Suresh Raina
Ravindra Jadeja
DJ Bravo
MS Dhoni
Ravichandran Ashwin(or Shadab Jakati)
Ben Hilfenhaus
Mohit Sharma
Jason Holder(Or Ben Laughlin)
Chris Morris(or Albie Morkel)

Faf should get a game in the next two ones. He needs to be running before the playoffs and should be getting games under his belt before that. Next game, I would field this team:

Saha
Hussey
Raina
Faf
Badri
Dhoni
Morkel
Jadeja
Ashwin
Morris
Mohit/Imtiaz

Faf should get a game in the next two ones. He needs to be running before the playoffs and should be getting games under his belt before that.

The best way to incorporate Faf imo would be to play him as the batting all-rounder, a role currently held down by Dwayne Bravo and previously Albie Morkel. So, something along the lines of this:

1. Michael Hussey [overseas]
2. Wriddhiman Saha
3. Suresh Raina
4. Subramaniam Badrinath
5. Faf du Plessis [overseas]
6. MS Dhoni*?
7. Ravindra Jadeja
8. Chris Morris [overseas]
9. Ravichandran Ashwin
10. Dirk Nannes [overseas]
11. Mohit Sharma

Btw, he's unavailable for selection atm, said his doctors advised him to rest up for another 10 days(this was when he was interviewed during the game vs the SRH) before he took part in play.

Tbh..he is more useful as a batsman rather than an allrounder..Moreover if you play Faf in the team..it is pointless to play with 2 WK's..

Well I have not seen him bowl..Dont know about that but he can be quite explosive with the bat..And resting Bravo can be a huge minus point.(It's just my opinion..other opinions may vary)

Faf du Plessis

Going by that, he can definitely bowl.
