Albie must replace Bravo.
If Faf is available today,i would replace Mike with Faf.
Nannes should make way for Ben because we have seen Viru pa struggle against Ben right from the test series there and last IPL too.
Faf and Murali Vijay should open.Jakati must play.

We might've just found our best Indian pace bowler(Mohit Sharma) with that win vs Delhi, yes we still haven't seen him bowl at the death, but he looks a good bowler up front.

Now, Nannes was injured, if fit for the game vs KKR away, do you bring him in for one of the overseas all-rounders or do you go in unchanged(or maybe you want a 3rd spinner with the game being in Kolkata and what not)? Mind you, Dirk Nannes is arguably one of the best T20 bowlers in the world, 2nd highest wicket taker(3 more and he'll top Alfonso Thomas) in T20 cricket actually.

Time to bring in Ben Hilfenhaus and Faf Du Plessis.Bravo is a fine utility player but he needs to be rested for some matches now and Albie should bat some matches.Mohit looks really good but i am not very convinced with his short ball, the ball to David was a very ordinary one,9 out of 10 times that ball would have gone 20 rows back.Leaving his first over,Ashwin looked good.
The only thing bothering me is Vijay and Raina's batting form because they have been a pillar in CSK's success in the past.

And how exactly will you bring them in with just leaving out one overseas player in Dwayne Bravo... Personally I'd drop Albie or Bravo for Nannes(if/when fit) or Hilfenhaus.

Morkel stays but he needs to bat more! He should bat over Bravo especially if there is less than 3 overs to go.

What I loved most about our performance v DD was the bowling. Everyone got a wicket! Love it when we share the love :thumbs:thumbs

Looking ahead - gotta make room for Faf. Can't drop Huss. Vijay might have to sit.... i'd drop Dwayne personally but I think it will be Ablie who will be let go. Still confused about Chris Morris lol. Is he a bowler? Allrounder? worth playing over Nannes and Hilf?? Not sure. Haven't seen too much of the IPL this year but he seems to be doing OK.

Morris is a must i feel.He is generating great speeds and he is no duck with the bat unlike Ben and Nannes. So i would play him ahead of Nannes and even Ben.

Bowling all-rounder, so no, he's not good enough to keep out a Nannes or Hilfenhaus.

We are in a problem of plenty. Who do we keep out, and who do we keep in? I want Morris, Hilfy and Nannes all to play. But for that, only one of Hussey, Faf, Bravo and Morkel can play and we need atleast two overseas batsmen in our batting order.

I would group our key overseas players into two groups. Group 1: Morris, Hilfy, Nannes and Morkel, and Group 2: Hussey, Faf, Bravo, Morkel. Play two from each group, and rotate them according to the match.

Morkel is good enough to make both the groups?... and I'm not all that sure Hilfy is there with the guys tbh, he didn't play in the last game when Nannes went down with that back injury and (he was by far our best bowler last season picking up 14 wickets @ an average of 16.64 with an economy rate of 6.85) I can't say I seen him in the dug-out during the games.

I've got 2 XI's going on for tomorrow and it all depends on the kind of pitch served up at the Eden Gardens.

XI #1: typical Kolkata turner

1. Michael Hussey [overseas]
2. Murali Vijay
3. Subramaniam Badrinath
4. Suresh Raina
5. MS Dhoni*?
6. Baba Aparajith
7. Ravindra Jadeja
8. Chris Morris [overseas]
9. Ravichandran Ashwin
10. Ben Hilfenhaus [overseas]
11. Dirk Nannes [overseas]

XI #2: any ol' IPL wicket

1. Michael Hussey [overseas]
2. Murali Vijay
3. Suresh Raina
4. Subramaniam Badrinath
5. MS Dhoni*?
6. Dwayne Bravo/Albie Morkel [overseas]
7. Ravindra Jadeja
8. Chris Morris [overseas]
9. Ravichandran Ashwin
10. Mohit Sharma
11. Dirk Nannes/Ben Hilfenhaus [overseas]
