Coca-Cola Championship Thread

Congratulations to West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City. They have played very well all through the season and they thoroughly deserve to be promoted. WBA played the most attractive football overall, while Stoke played a physical way and I feel they can both stay in the Premier League. Rarely does the Championship send teams up that we can be proud of, these two might do it for us. I think Crystal Palace will win the play offs, but I would like to see Hull City there. Good luck to all three clubs next season!

I don't think the Charlton game was a reflection of how good (or bad) we are anyway, as i tgot to the point where the players didn't care about their own match and were just rushing off to ask Coleman about the Leicester game. And anyway, I just want to put this season behind me and concentrate on next season, as our Chairman, Ray ranson has said we are buying someone better than David Healy and another 10 players!

It says here: http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/loadnews.asp?cid=TMNW&id=390547

Many people have said that the person Ranson is talking about is Brian McBride and also Jimmy Bullard might be coming too.

WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY, WE'RE GOING TO WEMBLEY!

What a result! Deserved both our wins, and I'm so glad we've made it. Hopefully will get tickets for the final. What a nerve racking night though! Lee Trundle was poor for the first 90 but came alive in extra time and finally had a dig and it paid off. Micheal McIndoe sealed it with a wonderful free kick, four top class goals to send us through!

Bring on whoever wins the other tie, although I doubt it'll be Watford that we face on the 24th...

Well done Trev, but I have put a £5 bet on Hul :( Sorry mate but if they win the Play Offs I'll get another 34 quid!

Will be a good game if we get Hull. If we get Watford then I think we will win, although that looks very unlikely now. We have taken 4 points from a possible 6 against Hull this season, so it's not like we haven't done well against them before. Although that goes out of the window for the final. Should be a good game whatever happens :)

The tickets came today! Were sat in Club Wembley which sounds very posh. Second tier almost behind the goal, just to the side. Cost a bomb for tickets, and then even more for train ect. A Bristol City win will make it doubly worth it :D

I'll tell you now mate, Wembley is a dump outside but inside it is incredible, seriously you will enjoy the atmosphere inside as it will stay in there, I know it did when I went to the semi-final of the F.A. Cup. I hope you enjoy it and also hope you get the result that you want!

Absolutely Gutted! Lost when on a whole we deserved a win. Superior chances, superior shots on goal, just not a superior goals tally, which is what counts the most in the end. A great day, but I was put through 45 minutes of hell in the 2nd half, numerous misses and referee decisions contributing. Have to say Wembley's great, and the comfy 'Club Wembley' seats are good (:D).

Hopefully us and Hull will trade places next year...

Congratulations to Hull on their promotion to the Premier League.

Yeps, well done Hull City. We look forwards to seeing you next year and here's to you doing better than most promoted teams, it'd be nice to see a team that's never come up do well.

08/09 Fixtures out today! :D

Of course the big one (well, two) for me:

29th Nov: Swansea V CARDIFF
&
4th Apr: CARDIFF v Swansea

Don't be surprised if you hear about crowd troubles at these two matches, don't be surprised at all! :p

What a start! Kevin Phillips in the 93rd minute!

Birmingham City 1-0 Sheffield United

Coventry 1-0 Norwich (:D :D :D :D)

Elliott Ward penalty, after Guillaume Beuzelin burst into the box and was brought down :D

Unlucky Skater :p
