Coca-Cola Championship Thread

This season I am taking defeat with dignity. Norwich never win their first game and they never beat Coventry away so anything else is a bonus. :)

skater added 44 Minutes and 19 Seconds later...

The end of the game, Norwich losing 0-2 to Coventry. Never mind. By all accounts Coventry were poor, Norwich were the better team. 45 games to go. :)

Town 1 - 2 PNE

I didn't go (I was at The Oval) but it sounds like a poor start.

By the looks of things there were 7 goals in the first 6 minutes!! Hope that carries on!

Good luck to all those clubs that have been shafted by the FA, that's all I can say. I hope they all get out of their present perilous predicaments.

(Sorry, couldn't resist a bit of alliteration!)

You mean Luton, Rotheram and Bournemouth? If so, absolutely agree.

We are looking to sign a tall striker before the end of the transfer window, since we have two short ones in Jamie Cureton and Arturo Lupoli. A big target man up front might bring us more goals, like it did with Dean Ashton and Peter Crouch when we had them.
I saw the goals on The Championship today. I didn't think it was a penalty for Coventry. Nice to hear you agree, Rob. The second goal I will blame on our goalkeeper's positioning.
It sounds more promising than most of our defeats. Our new signings Dejan Stefanovic (despite almost being sent off), John Kennedy, Wes Hoolahan, Arturo Lupoli, Ojay Koroma (despite missing one on one) and Sammy Clingan all sounded like they were impressive. We still have Elliot Omozusi and David Bell to come in after injury as well.
Blackpool next at Carrow Road - I will be there with my season ticket!

Well, we drew with Reading on Sunday. I thought we outplayed them (just). Poor game of football. They came closest, and would have won, were it not for a fantastic save from Paul Smith.

Off to a winning start, all be it a dodgy performance. Nicky Manard missed a few sitters, not what I was hoping from our £2.25 mil man. Grabbed a late victory thanks to Steve Brooker, and 3 points in the bag.

Ahead of Forest, just the way it should and will be for the rest of the season :p

Away at Swansea tomorrow. Will be a tough game. Hopefully confidence is high after beating Morecambe in the cup. (Optimism, much? :D)

What seems to be a reverse of last year so far:

Narrowly lost @ PR vs Preston (2-1)
Through to the 2nd Round of the Carling Cup
Convincingly won away (0-3 @ Turf Moor)
