Cricket Academy Problems

Do you really think they would make it that you can't watch where the ball is going?

Ofcourse i dont, but it does happen in the nets...u and i can only predict what will happen in the final game, hence i asked just for confirmation nothing more

I Still think of pro cam as more of a nice gimmick than being practical.

I dont know...but when uve waited this long and built up something so much in your head, it just needs to be perfect...

So i will be blind until i start a run...what if the bowler has fielded the bowl himself, that would mean a easy runout...
Any time you're not using the right stick to play shots you can use it to look around - even in the nets.

I only mentioned running because that seemed to be the context of the question.

Okay lets just put this to rest, im being way too paranoid...anyways thanks for your help

You gotta be kidding me. I can't play spin on any other camera setting. Pro Cam is the only way I'm actually able to see it and play it.
Plus Pro Cam works best for me. The Far Cam is little too far for me but its the best for facing really fast bowling right now.

Hey Mat...could u help me out with the issue i asked about on page 7 of this thread...the batsmans arm blocking the view...its not a problem in the nets but in the game u need to know the location of ball exactly especially in the case of quick singles
When you're playing in matches with running there's cameras specialised to allow you to see where the ball goes. It's actually a really neat camera too.

I'm gonna play the spin the english way in the game. i.e. Sweep, Sweep, and a couple of reverse sweeps. Practicing just those shots against spinners ;)
Although i love the late the against spinners the best.

Playing late seems more controlled than putting all your faith and stretching forward.

Thanks mate, thats exactly what i wanted to hear...

Hi, when i install the game it also installs the direct x user runtime? all the three box were checked. Cricket Academy beta, microsoft c++ and direct x user runtimes
Just give it another go, the error message means it isn't installed correctly.

I also downloaded the direct x file, when it asked me to specify which folder i would to install it o chose "C:\Users\samsung\AppData\Local\Temp" because it did not allow me to install it in the cricket acadmey folder because "it does not exist"

In the end i still get the message saying the dll file is missing after installing uninstalling and re-installing a few times, really wanted to play in the nets :(

Just download and install the directx from that link and install it in the default folder...u dont need to install directx in the game folder...i adviced u earlier to download the .dll file (which can often be infected with viruses/malware) seperately and copy that in the game folder...dont confuse the two methods...simply donwload and install the directx from microsoft site...

i downloaded the direct x via the link matt provided and installed it in the directory listed above because it asked me where i wanted to extract the file otherwise i wouldnt have been able to install it. I'll have to try downloading the .dll file and pasting it in the cricket academy folder to see if it works thanks for the help by the way

Downloading the dll file and pasting it in the game directory will probably work, i do it everytime i have a dll missing error because my dx is always updated and i dont know any other fix...i havent come across any viruses yet, but u cant ignore the risk...so best of luck to u and i hope all goes well

With the coloured circle around the ball i dont think u should have any difficulty seeing the ball, and the colour tells u the length...i find spin easiest to play...little tip: before trying to read the spin of ball u should judge the drift, wait for it and use the footwork according to the drift not the spin...helps me, hope it helps u
