England in Sri Lanka

Nah, there's always a brief part in the middle where we are incredibly rude and deprive our hosts of a lovely whitewash.

Or we just lull the opposistion into a state of complete complacency like in the Commenwealth Bank Series and then strike.

Of course, it's been winter here and also for most of the other teams.

ODIs in India ~ Tests against Srl ~ ODIs against NZ ~ Tests against India ~ CB Series Aus v Ind v Srl ~ Tests and ODIs in Pakistan ~ Tests and ODIs in West Indies

and that takes us through to early June 08. After that, there's a Top End series with Bangladesh in August, then the Champions Trophy in September and with that the next season rolls in;
~ Tests in India ~ Tests against NZ ~ Tests against SA ~ ODIs Aus v SA & NZ (tba) ~ Tests and ODIs in SA

That ends in April 09 and there's about a 2 month gap before the next T20 Championship and immediately after, the 09 Ashes. It pretty much keeps rolling on and on like that.
Oh yeah, I forgot about our grueling schedule. Dont tell me we are having another 20/20 WC so soon?

Sorry for the slightly off topic talk. I will stop.

England going to post a huge total here. 52/2 after 16 overs. With wickets in hand at the end, they may make it up to 200. Wow!

When our supposed batsman is struggling as bad as this then what hope does the rest of the line up have?

I'd say 180....

i am going for 155 all out

i don't know why england bother with one-day cricket..should just let the "A-side" play and rest the test team..

These slow pitches will suit Sri lanka, Jayasuria will probly kncok it off with 20 overs to spare..

BTW: Jayasuria has more ODI runs and wickets than the WHOLE ENGLAND TEAM put together.. :p

England struggled on Monday under the lights.
These late partnerships have really got England into a chance.
England have fought back and now how to keep the momentum going.

Just bowl cutters & slower balls underlights, there almost impossible to pick up.

England should cruise to victory here.

broad on a hat-trick..

Jayawardene the key now

Jayawardena has such a deceptive average. In current form extending over the last couple of years, he's been particularly hard to get rid of. In a low score situation it's even more obvious, he doesn't need to take more than 4 runs an over, so he's not going to give them much of anything.

Dilshan could've been more careful, though. Both of them were experienced to know that they could consolidate rather than accelerate and there aren't many wickets left.

Ah jinxed
