Wow! Pakistan on fire here...can England recover now...?

Great story this!!! :happy

very tough for england at the moment. pakistan very much on top here. hopefully kp can stand up

I dont think that we are in too much trouble, the pitch is obviously doing a bit so we should be able to match them in that department.

If Vaughan can keep in and KP can product some firery stuff hopefully they can get England into a decent position, still got Jones and Gilo to come, both capable so England arent down and out just yet!

And dont forget Hoggy, if him and Giles come to the crease who knows what can happen!!!!

Sorry about the pics. I will try and fix it when I get back from Holland. That and the next update on the 6th of November.

Cheers.

Lunch - Day ONE

LUNCH @ Day ONE
England 92-4
M. Vaughan 39*(83)
K. Pietersen 15*(29)

These two have put on a 32 run partnership to take England to 92 for the loss of four wickets at lunch. Not good viewing, but it definately is better than 60-4, which was the case when Abdul Razzaq dismissed the dangerous Andrew Flintoff. But Pakistan are still very much on top in this match, and England need a partnership of 150+ from these two, to get back into the game.

Michael Vaughan has played patiently on his way to 39 from 83 balls, while Kevin Pietersen has scored 15 from 29 deliveries faced.

The Pakistan bowlers have had a great first session today, with Sami picking up two wickets, Akhtar one and Razzaq one.

The Recovery

Vaughan and Pietersen lead England recovery

England captain Michael Vaughan and Kevin Pietersen have brought England back into the game with an unbeaten partnership of 106 runs. Both players have registered their respective half centuries, and are making good use of this batting turf. England would still want them to carry on and get as many runs as possible. With the score at 166-5, you would still back Pakistan, considering the fact that this pitch has a lot of runs in it.

Just what England wanted. Few more runs and England will be right back on top.
