FOOTBALL Football Manager Discussion

OK this is on the original database, not the updated one so he's still at Barca. The scout says he's as good as the current best young striker, Aguero. He would be a leading star for any team and that he isn't far off from the potential to be better than Lamps. Rosina got a good scout report, nothing fantastic. Rosina or Dos Santos?

Well that choice wasn't as hard as I thought. Dos Santos, the little twat, snubbed my offer. Rosina it is :D. I better get a big transfer budget. Won the league and FA Cup and got to CL final.

Well on ADDM I'd go Rosina every time, but on the original database I'd probably reccommend Dos Santos then mate (Y).

I'm hot property. Managerless Real Madrid just offered me the job. Their original offer was £61'000 a week on a 2 year contract, but I negotiated for a 4 year deal on £80'000 a week, and they've agreed to it. Now I've got a conundrum, do I jump ship and move to Madrid, leaving a seasons work behind with City to have more money to spend and a change of scenary, or do I stick at City and try and win the Champions League? Tough choice, but it's gotta be City. The Madrid job doesn't come up often, but I've built a top side, be stupid to leave them after 1 season.

Boys, can anyone give me a list of players, including positions (defender, midfield, attack will be good) of players I should be looking at in the January transfer window. Don't forget to spoiler tag them!

On the issue, I think its slightly excessive, i mean anyone who's reading this thread will click to see the spoilers won't they? Therefore its more work to read whats being said. But, thats just me, i've been here 3 years and am not staff :p So you guys must be kissing ass or doing a great job... :p

If they wan't you, they'll knock again, i'd say stick it out another season. You will either become more wanted, or just fall back on the previous seasons success :)

Yeah it's gotta be City. Maybe you should've saved as another name first and took the job in one and not in the other. Would've been interesting.

Despite another awful season from him, I managed to flog off Shevchenko to Valencia for £9.5 mil :D:D.

A whopping £80 million! Now do I go for one or two big name signing or do I invest in the future? I think that the big name signings will last me the future so the big names it is.

Good plan Batman :D Just saved my City file, now going to take the Madrid job and see where that goes =D. Going to be confusing having 2 games on the go, but might as well try it out, if I get bored as Madrid I can always go back and play as City again. Cracking plan that.

Here's a list for ya Simon:
Gabriel Obertan
Nicolas Millian
Jimmy Briand
Rhys Murphy
Ignacio Camacho
Ezequiel Garay
Alberto Zapater
Guiseppe Rossi
Dominico Cristico
Guilherme (Striker- should be at Cruizero)
Emiliano Insua
Jean II Makoun
Alessandro Rosina
Marco Balotelli
Stevan Jovetic
Sebastian Giovinco
Ismael Aissati
Georginio Wijnaldum
Victor Enyeama
Igor Akinfeev
Darijo Srna
Christian Ledesma
Karim Benzema
Pablo Piatti
Steven Defour
Pato
Dentinho
Lulinha
Rafael Carioca
Ever Banega
Oscar Trejo
Yoel Goldstein
Oscar Ustari
Jeremy Menez
Toni Kroos
Jack Wilshire
Carlos Vela
That a long enough list for ya? :p Should take you a while to search for all those guys, they're all fantastic players, should be able to boost your side by buying any of them (Y). I tried to focus on younger, lesser known guys as well :D. Hope it helps not only you, but anyone interested.

Just signed Pirlo for £30 mil :D. I had a thorough assesment of my team and decided I needed a defensive midfielder. Still got another £40 mil left. Crespo is back from loan so see how he goes. He might be quite good with Aguero.

EDIT: Still another 58 mil :D.

TOTAL ANHILATION!

Well after an embarassing away loss to bottom side Sheffield Wednesday in the league we had to face Aberdeen away in the UEFA Cup. Little did I know we would score 5 goals in the first half and absolutely destroy them 6-1. Seeing as I was missing two key players in Kevin Doyle and my skipper Olof Melberg due to injury, I was expecting a very tough game. Six different goal scorers showed how good we played as a team, and with the amount of chances we had in the second half it could have been double figures.

It's going to be tough to win the league or UEFA Cup this season, but I think by next year we'll have a great chance at one or the other.

Just checked the player search for players who are out of contract at the end of the season, and there's some amazing talent that will be up for grabs unless they sign new contracts. On my shortlist I've got:

Marcelo
Theo Walcott
Luis Fabiano
Carlos Tevez
Stevan Jovetic
Mathieu Flamini
Sebastien Giovinco
Ivan Klasnic
Aliaksandr Hleb
John Arne Riise

AND......

Jimmy Bullard :D (Obviously I won't get him for either City or Madrid, but he's gotta be shortlisted tbh :p)

What a list that is, if I get all of those for free I'll be loving it. There's about £200million worth of talent there. I'd bet that most of them will sign new contracts before January though. *******s :p.

Looks like I'm going to sell Cashley for £20 mil :D. That takes me up to £88 mil to spend. I don't know what to do. :p

You missed off Steven Defour and Jack Wilshere Dan. The two best young attacking mids on the game.

Signed Pato for £40 mil :D. Very expensive but I reckon he'll be worth it. Aguero, Pato, Toni and Drogba as my strike force *drools*. Also got Sahar, Sinclair, Murphy and Andre-Doudin in the reserves :D. OK so I'm selling Malouda for £17.5mil and Mancienne for £5 mil :D. I'm trying to get Garay.

Defour was already on there (Y). But good shout with Wilshere, he's awesome, Arsenal have some fantastic youth. Reminds me to add Carlos Vela as well. He's amazing.

Nice work buying Pato. You've got a cracking strike force now mate. Having Aguero playing behind Pato and Drogba is destined for goals. Swap Drogba for Villa, Ibrahimovic, Benzema, Guilherme or Tevez and you're going to have an unmatchable strike force. Awesome stuff.
