DKZ Studio for PES6 modding, Partition Magic, Nero 7. They are 3 that aren't compatible and I really need
:

Windows XP rules. MS did not release any Windows nearly 5-6 years after launching Windows XP so most of the PC's today use XP.
Which one do you pick?
I think that having Vista puts more pressure on your computer doesn't it? Iam finding everything taking much more time to be responsive compared to XP. XP was nice and fast, didn't have all these restrictions and was much easier to use.
On the other hand, Vista is the latest - so it has to be the bestIt has some cool new features and in the end, all them pesky restrictions may be safer.
What do you choose? I chose Xp because its easier on the computer and is more responsive (more faster) then Vista is.
Is it true if a game crashes in Vista, it doesn't take the whole system down, it just CTDs?
I dont know what CTDs are. But when PES6 crashes it just comes up with a pop up saying "pes6.exe is not responding" then it just closes and yeah. Nothing else happens that I know of.Is it true if a game crashes in Vista, it doesn't take the whole system down, it just CTDs?
Yeah, all you said was right. I can bet in 3-4 years, a person having xp will be called as obsolete as someone having 98 now. Most Computers are bound to have vista in about 4 years from now... The main reason is that companies will now start to make all their software/hardware Vista compatible, and there will be certain products which would work only in Vista.... something that has always been happening, and will happen in the future...
Slowly, the transition is certainly going to take place, and XP based computers will eventually become obsolete as Vista evolves.
As i say this, we cannot rule out competition Vista will face from its successors (M$ is planning another OS Vienna, due in 2009), but one thing will still be for sure, XP's popularity will decline.
