Group A - Australia, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa

He would never have done it after insisting he would not play in the World Cup. Plus the selectors didn't look like they SOS him after Lee's injury.

Good news for Symonds appears like he will make the SA game although Ponting my restrain him from playing too early.

Don't let him play group matches. We'll at least qualify for the Super 8s, with or without the SA win, so it's important to let him recover, play him in the Super 8s but no earlier.

As far as qualification is concerned,Aussies and South Africa will go through without any hassles.
But,are the points going to be carried forth to the Super Eights ? Just like we had them in the Super Sixes ?

Yea points are carried through so if Aus and SA made it through then they wouldn't play each other in the Super 8.

Gah, tried to pull a last minuite stop in St. Kitts for the SA v Aus game, sure to be a cracker, but no flight tics from trinidad :(
Match tics still avail. tho :D

Should be sold out come game time though, this will be an absolute cracker of a match. Best of the round robin games.

Yeah you would expect it to be, People in the Carribean often buy the tickets on match day hence the slow rush of tickets.

Heh, thats what me and my dad are thinkin of doin, and taking like a ferry or soemthin to Kitts. :p

Hayden and Symonds slowly edging there way back. Hayden starting to walk again and Symonds is starting to train with a tennis ball in the nets. Seems a little rushed to me.

Symonds need not be rushed, Australa will definately get through to the Super Eight Stage so he can wait till then.

Yea don't need to rush him unless he is definitely 100%, the Super 8 stage would be the best time to bring him back.

Well if/when his body feels right then get him in the side, it might throw him off just playing an important World Cup game in your comeback match, I would want him to play at least the South Africa Super 8 game.

Bit of an injury scare for Gibbs and Kemp.

ALL rounder Justin Kemp and batsman Herschelle Gibbs suffered injury scares during training on the eve of South Africa's World Cup warm-up match against Ireland tonight (AEDT).
