Group A - Australia, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa

With Lee's injury now, Tait has been picked at an almost ideal time. He could have had a couple more games, but as is he has a really good opportunity to start to play at his best at the best possible time. If he can dominate early, the momentum and confidence that will donate ought to allow him to steam roll into very good opposition.

Well it's just not Tait that we should be worried about, Bracken has lost his touch over the past few weeks and McGrath still isn't near his best.

Yeah well you could say every bowler is struggling at the moment but the batting is doing just well, glad Cam White isnt going to the world cup!!! He is hopeless, Im just hoping that Roy can get back into the team and dominate in another world cup.-

Bracken should come good in the Windies condition, he was starting to look good in the last ODI we played just bowled some bad balls in between that got smashed. McGrath probably will like the Windies conditions so hopefully that gets him back into form.

We don't need Gilchrist though. We'd be better off having to form openers in Hayden & Watson so on those small grounds Hayden can just play the Gilchrist roll and then we can push Hussey up the order and let Haddin play the finisher roll.

I'd stick with Gilly, the ODI is his form of the game and all it takes is one knock to put him back in form. Can't really see Hayden filling the Gilly role where we would bring the 100 up within 15 overs and him being 50 in 30 balls.

Ponting would stick with Gilchrist up the order. When he does perform, he can really go on and on the grounds over there it should be no surprise. It's always a factor that you get a good start.

And Hayden isn't the kind of player to go at it like Gilchrist, but saying that Hayden does play well when he gets on.

Gilchrist > Hayden

Hayden isnt cut out for the blazing role against the new-ball.
