Group A - Australia, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa

I don't think that pace will blow them away, they will adjust, it will be the accurate bowlers that they can't get away.

Currently, Tait bowls at 150kph+, will the Scotland and Dutch batsman (except the best ones) be able to handle him?

I think someone like Tait may represent their best chance of a shock. If someone can get in if he doesn't bowl well bat on ball will more often than not find the boundary. That said if he had a very good day, then his pace would almost certainly be too much for their batsman, many of whom will never have faced someone that quick in a match situation.

There was an interview with Stuart Clark today. He's still really confident that he deserved to go to the WC.

If Tait can bowl accurately then there will actually problems for the batsman. Problem with Tait is he isn't consistent enough.

Well Tait's going to have to step up now that Lee isn't there, this is his chance to make a name for himself.

Tait should be looking forward to bowling against Netherlands and Scotland. They wouldn't have faced pace like that before.

Don't know any bloke that can get a bouncer over 150km/h consistently. Hes also clocks up to 150km/h very quickly anywhere he plays these days. All about his accuracy though.

Pretty true, always hard to play those quick bouncers.

I'm also sure that he would prefer wickets first before revving up his pace.

Maybe although the way he speaks he just loves running in and letting rip.

Certainly so, but he knows he could be under a little pressure as well. But if he doesn't perform against Netherlands or Scotland then what hope will he have against SA?

All the hope in the world...because thats the sort of bowler he is.

That's the way he bowls, he got his 8 fer by doing that, he got picked in the squad for doing that. If he changes he will lose his speed and more than likely his potency.

You guys still have something to discuss about :p whereas I am simply waiting for the first game to kick off and start my rant.
