England have been poor today, Anderson,Nixon and Pietersen are the only players who deserve any credit,Plunkett wasn't bad with the new ball but looked ineffective after that, ah well we'll still win the world cup

England need to bring in Cook with the bathe'll do miles better than Joyce and won't hand his wicket away,he can fight. This was a dire performance today,we should have won this,we have the better team but New Zealand just perform better and have a much more balanced side. Freddie needs a kick up the backside, and how can someone like Styris do this yet Michael vaughan make it look so hard? Vaghan is a brilliant batsmen but if he doesn't start making runs in ODI's we'll have to do something

Very poor game that puts pressure on to win the next 2 games, 1 coming against a very capable Kenyan side. Key players must perform better. We need to stop just blocking out the spinners from overs 20-35 and actually make some runs so that the lower order can have a real blast to get us up to maybe 300 or more. A crucial game against Canada and wipe the floor with them to show the real performances the players can produce.

My XI against Canada:
1) Joyce - needs to perform to keep his spot
2) Vaughan (cpt) - has to convert his starts into bigger scores
3) Pietersen - continue to make runs but not to get out at crucial times
4) Bell - keep the middle of the innings ticking over, 4 an over is a must
5) Collingwood - nurdle them 1's & 2's. Support the big'uns & steady innings if needed
6) Strauss - Make those final overs count. A few quick runs is needed
7) Flintoff - come up the order if need be. Smash a quick 30,40,50+ at end of innings
8) Nixon (wk) - Score at 100+ strike rate. Keep chirping away behind the stumps
9) Plunkett - smash a few quick runs. Get the ball in the right areas and take wickets
10) Lewis - Pitch the ball up and let it swing. Use the new ball well.
11) Panesar - Take wickets in the middle of the innings and get the batsman frustrated

Good win NZ, Oram still in very good touch with the bat and went well with the ball. With Styris also performing the with the ball they have a better 5th bowling option.
