Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

England win by 51 runs. :(
I wanted 5 of the super 8 to be "minnows". The other 3, Ind, Bang, and Saf.
Finals: Ireland vs Bangla :boxing

To be honest, England didn't do that flash. They won none the less.

Canada is defiantly one of the weaker minnow sides. They still didn't bowl a side out. No Flintoff mind you. But he deserved to miss the game for his antics. He probably needs a good bat as well.

But a wins a win. They should get some confidance back now. I doubt they'll lose to Kenya.

I wouldn't put money on that. Kenya have some decent batsman and in Tikolo a class act. We certainly should win, but it's far from a forgone conclusion after this performance.

Bopara put in a good performance today and with Dalrymples poor form of late (in his last 14 games he's taken 2 wickets and 141 runs in that time he's under pressure, 7-50 in the last two games both which offer something for the spinners). I know it was only Canada today but Bopara looks like a wicket taker, Dalrymple doesn't. Not much between them batting wise either.

Dissapointed no one could score a hundred today though. Monty bowled beautifully and was very unlucky to not have 4-5 wickets.

That was great news today, no more Flintoff as Captain ever, ideal.

I agree Bopara deserves another go, but Bell is hardly pulling his weight either to be honest. The game against Kenya could be tricky with their plethora of Spinners, let's hope they beat New Zealand so we can still carry some points through to the Super Eights. ;)

Kenya will no doubt trouble some of the teams. They have some more experience and are overall a much stronger side than Canada.

I saw England has slight problems with Canada and I would say Kenya on their day could beat England. Especially if they get early wickets.

Canada played well :clap They did the basics right of playing the full 50 Overs! Well done Canada though England managed to get their victory.

I have some humble-pie ready , just in case England lose to Kenya.
And I bet that is how India and Pakistan might have been thinking before their upset defeats.
Kenya are a very tricky side to face and after seeing the way England played versus Canada, its far from being a foregone conclusion .

Not a bad effort by Canada, lost a few too many wickets early on but at least they put up a fight in the end. Let's see what Kenya can do.

God that was painfull viewing. We have no chance of getting anywhere is this world cup. I think we will be lucky to qualify. Our batting and bowling is clearly weaker than most of the big eight teams.

I suffered through the game doing commentary on CricketEurope. It must be said that England were very unimpressive, sometimes getting the basics wrong. Had Canada not lost their top order cheaply, and Nixon not fired like he did, England would have lost. I'm making Kenya favourites on Saturday.

I think everybody owes mr Nixon an apology :p eerybody criticised him for not making runs yet when a specialist batsmen comes in they get given time to settle in,Nixon for captain! Freddie will kick some serious arse now he's fired up!

Geeze they lose a match and you right them off for good. England are a good team who lost one match. I cant believe even there own fans cant even see this.
