Group C - Canada, England, Kenya, New Zealand

I was watching this match, and when Kevin came to bat I was happy. Then he gets out cheaply. And with no Freddie bowling later on, I turned off my tv just now lol

Flintoff sacked as vice captain

He got drunk and fell off a pedalo and got into difficulties in the water in the early hours of Saturday

imo Andrews Strauss or Ian Bell will take over

I somehow doubt it will be Bell given he was one of the players who was fined. I doubt Strauss will either, given he's not played since they've been in the West Indies. :p

I wouldn't be surprised if Collingwood is named vice-captain, or indeed nobody is picked.

If this is true then what the hell was he thinking? He's supposed to be a professional taking part in a World Cup, not on bloody holiday.

I wouldn't have a problem with Fred (and all those involved) drinking if we actually won the bloody game!

Collingwood will be vice-captain. It's a no-brainer really.

Pretty tough stance by the ECB to sack Freddie from that post.
Yeah Collie would be a good captain.
He sorta reminds me of Rahul Dravid for England.

I still think it's unprofessional when its in between 2 games so tightly packed together, whether we'd beaten NZ or not. Colly is the main candidate for vice-captain, but lets hope Vaughan makes it through so it doesn't come to that.

Anyway, on to today's game, another England collapse stopped 150-1 being 300. All the 3 middle innings wickets (Bell, Joyce and KP) were soft, and it took an excellent knock from Colly to get us up to 279, with support from Bopara and Nixon. Bopara looked pretty good, anyone else think that Nasser Hussain kinda bigged him up an awful lot with his Essex bias?:p.

279 will be enough, but I doubt the bowling attack will get much from the game.

I bet England dont wanna have a fifth captain in last 20 months in Collingwood.
Stick to Strauss for the WC,then go for Collie.

England getting a right pwning here. Hopefully those fanboys thinking we'd win the World Cup after winning in the CB series will now realise that England are a pants one-day side. With all due respect to Canada, there is no way they should be this close to a Test playing nation.

Canada must not let this one slip away and must try and win this match for the future of their cricket. The match is still winnable for them.

Canada are actually still in the race to win this match! 120 runs of 96 balls needed.
