ICCCT2006: Group A

Watson must be getting a reputation now as a breaker of partnerships.

Some examples of his recent usefulness in his last 11 matches

07/10/2005 Gayle for the ICC XI, 98 runs for the 2nd wicket
09/10/2005 Flintoff for the ICC XI, 60 runs for the 5th wicket
05/03/2006 in South Africa, Pollock, 119 for the 6th wicket
12/09/2006 Gayle for the Windies, opening stand of 136
18/09/2006 Gayle yet again, 151 for the 3rd wicket
21/10/2006 against England, he got Bell, opening partnership of 83

Nice point angry, and gratz for 2k posts....

OMG SEHWAG GONE IN TEH WORST POINT EVER!

Ok Kaif has to stay. Then get out at the 39th, 40th over. Dravid has to be there till the end.

God keeps getting closer but now without viru i think they have the inciative.

LOL... you gotta love these Indian crowds. Absolutely spastic.

Sehwag is looking good as I predicted.

I hope that if Australia are chasing 250+ that Ponting really turns it on and makes a big big score.

What are you referring by calling the Indian crowd spastic. Please leave your immature comments aside and as langer said in another thread, no wonder no one replies to your posts because they are either 1. biased or 2. absolutely ridiciculous without using your brains.

The Australians have bowled well but in between with some poor balls. A few close LBW shouts but so far all good decisions. Great to see Sehwag back and striking the ball cleanly. This is developing to be a very good partnership for India and if these two can stay in till the 37th over, than Australia need to watch out for Dhoni.

EDIT: Well as I speak Sehwag is gone at a crucial stage.

:D YES! Sehwag gone... Now let's see Australia rip right through India!

Oh shut up, it wasn't an insult.

We now need a good 60 from Dravid. Sehwag brushed off his bad form, lets see the captain do it.

Ooo, we just have to win! cmon guys!

go johnson

Johnsons a poop head :p

Get lee back in the attack!!

Now Kaif is a good runner. If Dravid is cool with it he will easily take 4 singles in an over. its up to rahul to hit the fences.

:p you havent seen the might of watson yet :D

Is he a good batsmen... ill go fetch his stats from cricinfo.
Glorious four from kaif.

Kaif's average vs Australia is 9.6 o.O :(

Ah-watson's average is 28 and a strike rate of 72...not too bad...

Symonds into the Attack. Nice.

Woah, sharp spin. If this holds up, good luck facing with harbajan guys...

There certainly is some turn judging from Symonds 2nd delivery which prompts the reason why Hogg or Cullen are not playing. Harbajan certainly may be a handful on this pitch.

Commentators are saying 250 not enough. I agree.

If these two are there until, say, 40-43 MAX, Mahi can hit the big 'uns. We need to have 180-200 by the 40th. So 5 an over at least.
Then at least we have some sort of a chance to get 280 odd with Dhoni in good form and Pathan, maybe.

This is a really crucial stage. We have to work it for like, 5 running runs an over....we can't force ourselves to hit boundaries off "workers". Thats why we haev Dhoni at 6 or 7.

Smack, a very non-dravid boundary by dravid.

Symonds getting loads of turn and bounce. Harbajan must be lickin' his lips.

Now, that 8 an over is going to be tough with McGrath bowling......!

It looks as though India have given Australia some concessions here, in particular taking it easy against the lesser bowlers, when Lee McGrath and Bracken have more to come. I expect they'll have to fight a bit to get where they want.

Dravid seems to be attacking Symo, whose still getting that bounce and turn!
Dravid on 40, gotten there pretty quickly. he needs to double that.

Kaif has to get these easy deliveries away! As i type-a big one bounce 4. guess he heard me. :D

Glennie's back. Kaif shouldn't succumb to him now. Not too worried about dravid.

181/3 as we enter the death.

10 an over anyone?

72 50s an what a shot to bring it up!

Am i the only one posting here :/

and gone........planned much?
