India in England/Ireland/Scotland

I agree with Joe. I can't stand this series being 3 tests. I'd have much rather had the 5 test series against India and the 3 test series against the West Indies. India in 5 tests would have been much more competitive than West Indies and the Cricket would have been better, drawing a bigger crowd, making more money etc. Would have been better all round. But hey-ho, gotta live with it.

I would love a longer test series too, but the money generated from India vs England ODI's will be much more than the tests, which is probably why its been arranged like this.

This is going to be a massive, well deserved win for India. Really really good. As a fan, I'm delighted.

To Eddie : :p :p :p :p :p :p :p !

It's true but also an unfortunate reality of the game that some series aren't as good as others, even if the teams are seen as equals. We can't just have England and Australia playing every summer and winter.

why India batted in the best conditions of the summer..sure england would have enjoyed the same conditions..

maybe india would only have made 150 on day 1

your maybes and if's are pretty useless.

accept it, England didn't play as well as they could have. India certainly did their best, though few players weren't up to the mark.

We had th best conditions in the first test and would have won had it not rained. If it had rained here preventing an Indian win, and it could still tomorrow we as England fans wuold be loving it.
Gotta take the rough with the smooth.

true, if it rains tomorrow and it ends in a draw, it would be fair for England.

England deserved to win @ Lords, atleast for Pieterson's wonderful hundred.

It'll be a good win for India. None of the batsmen seem out of form. Zaheer and RP Singh are bowling well too. Kumble is the specialist tail killer - every team needs one. He's probing at all times, wasn't up to his best today though.

Big disappointment is Sreesanth. What the hell is he up to? I'm not sure if we should persist with him; he seems to have serious attitude problems. Is Ranadeb Bose a good enough replacement ? I wonder.

P.S: It's never gonna rain tomorrow.

ah quit whining.. you're going 1up in a series you have no right to be leading in..

Crap! We have every right to be leading the series. Both teams have had their share of controversial and poor decisions. Blame it on the umpires. I just dont agree with this 'right' business. We have fought well and we deserve to be where we are. Of course, some of our players havent been their best, but yet they have been good enough to be at this position.

Dude...Sreesanth sucks. He needs to be sacked. His problem isn't his bowling, it's his head. Once he clears that out, his bowling will automatically improve. Who does he think he is?

I hope he is sacked for the next game, and I hope they give Ramesh Powar a chance (Isnt the Oval historically known to favor spin?).

The Oval will be a lot flatter and harder. Taking to spin more, but it just won't offer anything for quicks, which tends to be the reason some sides play two spinners, because then you have a proper bowler to bowl more overs. You simply won't get seam movement out of it.

Whether they mind or not, we are 1 nil down to a team we should be beatnig.

Not SHOULD! Could be beating... We are a good team, particularly in the test matches in recent times. Our ODI form has dipped alarmingly but our test form remains good.
