Dinesh Mongia OUT.. Now can we just get rid of this stupid trash player and pick someone with talent . Dinesh Mongia should retire if he wants to serve his country he should just get the **** out of cricket and never return because dumbass indian selectors are just gona keep on selecting him hoping for him to do something.. obviously he doesnt want to be part of the indian team since he doest really do anything to take the chances he gets.

I totally agree with you.
Why we would pick Dinesh Mongia when the instructions were to pick a `young` team and when that was the reason given for `resting` Sachin and Sourav is something I cannot comprehend.
Dinesh Mongia only as much cricket in him as SAchin or Sourav.
He is not very much younger than hem, is he ?
And he is not a special talent to be given as many chances as he gets.

If they had to drop/rest Sachin and Sourav, I`d have picked someone like Rohit Sharma , especially now that Tewari is out.
I believe that it is highly unlikely that Dhoni will play in the next game and whom do we have in the squad to replace him in the batting lineup for the reamaining games.
Do they bring back Sachin/Sourav or get someone like Sharma back.

Coming back to the match, not a very satisfactory result for India.
We were on the backfoot for most of the contest .
I expect India to win the rest of the matches more convincingly.
Karthik and Dhoni dislayed character.
It is tougher to take your team out of trouble against a `smaller` nation where there is everything to lose than against, say Australia where there is not much to lose.

Dhoni deserves special praise for the way he batted.

I thought the two keepers did well and credit to Dhoni as batting whilst carrying a knock is never easy. That beard (not quite a full beard is it?) doesn't suit him though.......

Bangladesh probably would've done better with Mortaza and Rasel was too expensive. Maybe 25 runs short too.

Not a good win at all.. But we will take it than a defeat! That would have been even more demoralising.

Dhoni batted brilliantly. I have been seeing this change in him for quite sometime in that when he comes in a pressure situation, he makes the effort to stablise himself at the middle and then goes for his shots only when he is fully confident. He can do this with ease on subcontinent pitches. He has to replicate this effort on pitches abroad which are more conducive to the bowlers. But he can do it!

Karthick - man this guy has been a revelation in recent times. We can go with two specialist wicketkeepers and still we wont miss a batsman. Dont know how well Dhoni fields, but Karthick can be a regular in the Indian ODI side, with Dhoni also in the same team. Thats amazing.

Gambhir wont learn, Sehwag wont learn. Kick these two out. Also this Dinesh Mongia. Lucky guy man! Keeps getting chances from nowhere. What happened to Sreesanth? When I saw, he has stupendous figures of 5-0-14-0.

When we have fielders like Munaf, Powar and Zaheer, how do we expect the team do become a better fielding unit? Add to that Sehwag and you still have a below mediocre fielding unit. Bring in quicker legs, more athletic players! Robin Singh cant do magic with this set of players. The players need to be changed!

After his horrid run in the West Indies in the World Cup i can never forgive him. That and his "good" innings is rare followed with horrid ones inbetween.
and Karthik is much more consistent anyways.
