The thing with Umesh and Shami is they are wayward at times and usually get away when we play at home. But they need to have their tail up in these overseas test matches if Shami bowled as half as well in the 1st innings as he is now we might have South Africa under huge trouble restricting them to a lesser score perhaps too many easy runs were given which could well be the difference in this match.

A massive respect for Dale Steyn for coming out to bat despite a bruised heel.

So a target of 208 for India after fantastic spell of bowling from Shami and Bumrah with Bhuvi doing well to wrap up the tail.
The pitch still has juice in it for the likes of Rabada, Morkel and Philander could be a very tricky and exciting chase.

Rabada, Philander, Morkel ? Depleted side ? If our bowlers could do it, they surely can. Those three are lethal especially Rabada and Philander. Maharaj is pretty good too but since pitch helps fast bowlers, I didn't mention him.

All comes down to our batting. I feel Dhawan should play his natural game(or whatever the heck it is) and play shots like he usually does. You can't make runs by going about this slowly as we have seen so far in this match. Kohli and Pujara are the key batsmen !

My thoughts exactly. Given the position we were in, I will take 210 happily. We should just play sensibly.
