India tour of South Africa

Aah, now with no Rahane we are going to be bundled out very quickly. Pujara to be the lone warrior till the end.

Rohit at the expense of Rahane is where we are frustrated. Rahane is too good a player to be left out overseas no matter how poor his form was before the start of this series. He should have been given at least first test.

The team management has to take a whole lot of blame for what has gone on with Ajinkya. The man is one of the most genuine cricketers out there. They have shattered his confidence him by making him into this chop and change ODI player. This has resulted in some of his basics going awry. Although he scored runs in the WI and Australia ODIs as well as the tests in SL he had to sit out for Dhawan again when the man chose to walk back in. This meant that he has been serving drinks for the past 3 months bar the SL tests with no game time. When they could`ve actually played him in the ODI side against SL in Kohli's absence, Rohit the captain dropped him. Had he scored runs in the SL ODIs, Nohit's test place would`ve been under threat.

Just look at the lineup. All talk.[DOUBLEPOST=1515167513][/DOUBLEPOST]If we even get to 100, I will be surprised. This batting lineup lacks in quality severely.[DOUBLEPOST=1515167541][/DOUBLEPOST]
Rohit Sharma now? If so, will he even survive today?

Even if he does so, he will be eaten alive tomorrow.

I have a genuine question. If Kohli fails for 4 innings this series, will he be dropped from the team in England? If not where is the consistency in selection policy.

Kohli has a lot to prove in testing conditions overseas as well.

Yeah agreed. It is just that Kohli's overall record is so unreal, people including us tend to ignore the fact that he too has to prove himself in testing conditions like these. And tbh from reading cricbuzz it seems as if the ball hasn't been doing much, it is just some hesitant batting from the Indians. Nervousness maybe?

We just need spmeone to bat alongside Pujara.

I am having some hope in Saha and Ashwin. I doubt Pandya has anything in him to counter these conditions.
Bhuvi has a better technique than Pandya.

There is too much of this aggression crap being thrown around by this team management. You win test matches in tough conditions if you have the skill to fight out and battle. You cannot just waltz through and win. All the talk is alright but test cricket has its tempo for a reason. Shastri and Kohli were high on something when they made these choices. I repeat again. They did this with Pujara and had to repent. It was only after Kumble became coach that Pujara got the backing of the management. Back comes Shastri. Look at who are the players under threat in the test side -- Rahul, Vijay, Rahane and Yadav. Amazing. I hate to say this but this is one of the few times that I'm getting joy out of seeing some of these guys fail. Sheer arrogance. The only guys I want to do well are Pujara, Saha, Shami and Bhuvi. This, coming from a die-hard follower of Indian cricket.

It's going to be an interesting first session tomorrow morning. My prediction > Ashwin top scores for India with Pujara in with the second highest total ... let's see ...

I was actually clapping at Dhawan's dismissal and gearing up for a big failure from Rohit Sharma tommorow.

So much drama around Dhawan. He was unfit one day, fit another! Kumble as coach would'nt have taken all this crap. This is going to be a terrible year for Indian cricket. Did they really feel that we could go in with one batsman short, especially with how we struggled against a lowly SL lineup at Kolkata and Dharamsala?

This test series will gonna be a major thing to gauge India test team strength. I predict South Africa to win this test series.
