India's Tour Of Sri Lanka- August 2015

Does anyone know of streaming links that work in India? I`m looking at the Sony website at the moment and they don`t have one. I would subscribe if I have an option to do so. This is where Star Sports is good. You get every game streaming live on their website. Please PM me if you know any stream that is working.

Speaking of Sony, they clearly are ready to launch as a big sports network this year. Apart from the cricket, they also have the Spanish League rights this season. This ought to give them some serious viewership.

Great to see Ashwin ripping through the srilankan batting order.

This is where India traditionally allow test matches to drift, especially away from home. We have eaten through the top half of the SL lineup but now is when we allow the lower order to wag, especially if there is a top order batsman like Mattews still around. SL could well notch up 400 even from here.

That drop from Saha is unacceptable. A team on the mats a dolly of a catch for a keeper grassed. If he is not going to score runs and drop dollies why is he in the team.

Great performance from Ashwin. That partnership in the middle was a bit of a problem, but India will be delighted to have bowled out SL before tea having lost the toss. The pitch is not that bad to be honest, Ashwin was just too good. His line to the lefthand batsmen was phenomenal.

India should look to put on the runs, and bat till Lunch atleast on Day 3.

Congrats to Rohit for a fabulous score of under 10 runs. The problem is mortals like us just look at the score, and miss out on the beauty of the innings. Its only the keen eyes of the selectors who can judge the class and thereby this single digit score entitles Rohit to be an automatic selection for the next game, as well.

Let us see if we can survive till lunch tomorrow. Rohit Sharma has done nothing of note anywhere to suggest he is better than Pujara and yet pe keep picking him in the side. His performences in SA,England,NZ and Australia have been less than mediocre. Pujara should be in this test side. He has proven his worth in difficult situations far more than this easy-conditions bully. I cannot comprehend how he gets into a test side ahead of Rahul or Pujara despite scoring in single figures in any situation that matters.

Highlights on cricinfo now? I assume this is only for this series.

^ Interesting.

You never know if this is just for this series. Cricbuzz, the biggest rival to cricinfo is sponsoring the series, something cricinfo never has. So clearly cricinfo is trying to keep ahead and adding highlights is a good way of doing it.

So you never know.

You know I think Dhawan will benefit immensely from a stint in the County Championship, or in the Kiwi Domestic league. Dhawan is solid in the sub-continent, but dodgy away. Its something that a season or two aborad could fix. He should seriously consider it.

Come on guys. Lay off Rohit. So what if he did not score runs. He took two catches and survived more than 10 devliveruies - has already exceeded expectations

Decent day for India. Ashwin has been bowling like this since the start of the world cup. He has looked very threatening in the WC, he continued that good form in Bangladesh and now in Sri Lanka. Varun Aaron has pace but he needs a bit more control. You can't go around with an economy rate of 6 in a test match. Hopefully he can improve on it. The fielding behind the stumps has always been scratchy for India in last 18 months. We are at least going to drop one easy slip catch. Dhawan did that in the first inning but it didn't hurt us much. However, what about that drop from Saha? If that guy is supposed to be the best keeper in the country then that is an embarrassing drop. That was a regulation catch for a keeper. I have never been impressed by Saha's keeping but looks like we have no other option right now. I see that Rohit Sharma bandwagon has already started. I still feel that he deserves his chances in test because he hasn't played consistent test cricket. He either plays one or two test match in a test series and then gets dropped. You need to give him at least a series or two consistently to find out if he is good enough or not in longer format. He definitely needs to work on his temperament and one weakness that has always been associated with Rohit is his lazy footwork at the start of his inning. However, he needs to contribute quickly If he wants to be a permanent member of the side because someone like Pujara won't be on the bench for too long. We need a lead of at least 200 runs because with 2 spinners in their line-up, it will be tough to score in the 4th inning when the pitch will be slow and will help their spinners. It will also be interesting to see how Saha the batsman plays here.
